HELLO! Warden here! I was gonna stay out of this because i'm old and sick but i'm also bored and pissed off now.
It seems the old adage of throwing stones and glass walls is lost on some of you. I've seen both sides of the argument, as is my nature. But I'm going to address the louder problem in the room. TO THE ANTIS I understand your reaction is from real life instances of the problematic content. This is fair. Often times, things depicted in fiction can be harmful or traumatic in a real life scenario. This is not limited to the content you are attacking. As a writer myself, i have found LOADS of misconceptions in popular fiction that could prove harmful in a real life scenario, such is how to care for an incapacitated individual, to how to treat battle wounds, to how heavy machinery is perfectly safe as long as it's turned off. Yeah we won't go into that. But it's not real life. It is fiction. A certain measure of suspended belief is in order for such things. And YES, exploring taboo subjects in a fictional setting is a method for dealing with trauma or complex feelings that has been actually prescribed by psychiatrists. It offers the creator a degree of control over the content and helps them parse out the subject without putting themselves or others in danger. Also a good amount of us creators enjoy stuff in fiction that we would run screaming into the night if we encountered it in real life. It's not a reflection of who we are as people. An example would be myself enjoying a dominant suitor lording over a submissive partner, but i would deck the daylights out of anyone that spoke to me in a domineering way.
And I'm gonna put this here too. I KNOW some of you antis actively seek out problematic content, maybe out of morbid curiosity, and then don't know what to do with the emotions and begin to lash out. I can tell you straight up, THAT IS NOT A SIGN OF A HEALTHY MIND AND YOU SHOULD PROBABLY LOOK INTO COUNSELLING. Words from a social worker that visited me in my little corner in the suicide ward:
"People who make life terrible for others aren't generally happy people themselves."
If you need to talk about stuff there are people who will listen and not the toxic clique you've gathered online or chatgpt. Seek out a counselor. I guarantee it will do wonders for you.
Again, I welcome comments and discussion. I am usually ship and let ship or post-whatever-your-little-pea-pickin'-heart-desires but i am curious about something that I will not be posting here.

OMG... Why can't anyone just enjoy anything anymore? Yes I watched the TADC episode. I had a blast watching that one. I feel like that was one of the more interesting episodes. But here's the thing, everyone is acting like this entire series must be completely airtight and immaculate in plot and execution. NEWSFLASH: THE CREATOR IS A HUMAN AND A DIFFERENT PERSON THAN THE VIEWERS Did the plot go the way YOU wanted it to? No? That's too goddamn bad. You caught a teeny tiny plot hole that really has no bearing on the direction of the story but you want to make a big stink about it? Good for you. Now shut your face or make better. Character you like not getting the attention you want them to have? Boo hoo babykins. It's not your character or work. Get over it. This trend of crucifying creators is not a good thing. It's not holding them accountable. It's pestering and harassing them because you don't have healthy coping mechanisms and want someone to take it out on. Yeah i could dissect this series like a frog in biology class, but that kills the frog. I very much like this frog. Even though the fandom already murdered it in cold blood.
And NO i don't want to hear your goddamned "erm actually" bullshit. I'm not here to discuss shit. Treating people and their hard work with respect is not something to discuss. It's something that should be the norm. I would LOVE to see a single one of you naysayers pull the creative weight the creators you love to drag down pull on a daily basis. So shut up, or show me YOU can do better.

Im excited to see where this goes now. I mean I get people are mad about how things turned out but I think there's loads of potential there now.
That being said, it is NEVER OKAY to harass other fans or the developer because you are upset about a creative choice. No matter what Fandom it is.
