Ruffles his bloody feathers- hes bathing in a corpse again.
“Agh- Archimedes, no!”
There’s a smattering of blood that sprays his face, painting his glasses with a vibrant crimson that leaves his brow furrowing in response. Like a bird bath- in the most grotesque way, he can not blame the bird’s nature as the corpse lay perfectly on display, an open, warm rib cage, the perfect place for a bird to make their nest. Well, not any bird- only one in particular that had a natural fondness for gore and guts. Yet Archimedes was his favorite, the one that held a special place in his heart.
It was why he never could muster the strength to be angry with the bird, plucking him up from the pool of blood, as he nestled himself within the intestines of the man before them. A hand was lifted, attempting his best to wipe away the blood that covered the bird’s chest and face. Not an easy task, and one that would no doubt require a bath- a real one, not his makeshift attempt and cleaning himself in the blood of his enemies.
“How many times have I told you- you have no idea where this man has been. He’s filthy- who knows what could be inside him! Now we must get you home and clean you up, and pray this man had nothing questionable running through his veins- or any of his organs for that matter.”

Yesterday, my wife and I were involved in an automobile collision in our truck. We’re grateful to report that we’re both physically okay now, but we’re faced with a round of medical expenses and trying to get the vehicle fixed. It’s our only vehicle, and we live in a rural community where there is no other form of transportation.
