I made and half-embroidered a hat today! Hand embroidering a thing you have made yourself is really satisfying. I couldn’t decide if I was making a blue hat, a linen-y hat, or a linen-y hat lined with blue. I’m not entirely certain what this material is, but it smells, and behaves, like a natural material, and it’s literally the most comfy hat I’ve ever worn in my life. It’s like a brain hug. It’s now nearly 3am, and I’m ready for a sleep. More pictures of my first foray into Norse garb continues anon!
Also after ordering myself some 12″ LED light strips to attach to the underside arm of my sewing machine early in the day, (something I saw while being enchanted by the Historybounding FB page) the lightbulb LITERALLY blew out of my machine just as I finished sewing this hat. My machine is a zillion years old at LEAST [57 years old] and this lightbulb is weirdddd. There are a ton of tiny wires inside of it. No idea when this bulb was put in there, but it’s dead now, Jim.
