Hands down Ax-52 is my new favourite weapon in this game, got this bad boy built full weak point crit and it hasn't let me down yet. Sure you can't shoot everywhere, and sure the dmg doesn't go into the milions but hey! if it shreds through a Scaldra with armor on 120 lvl like butter? Then I'm happy.
This is the build I've got, been tweaking it here and there but if everyone's got any recomendations for mods or changes let me know!
Warframe Mods - Weapons
Mods are the main way of improving your equipment, so they're rather important and need their own post. They're essentially trading cards but rather than summoning creatures like in Magic The Gathering, you're slotting them into a gun or a dude to make them stronger.
On the Eighth Day of Tennobaum the Lotus gave to me… Eight Mods a-Melting!
Seven Sudas Singing!
Six Glyphs a-Spraying!
FIVE MASTERY RANKS!
Four Cloning Clems!
Three Teshins!
Two Kuva Floods!
And a Prime Frame in the Foundry!

Open the Mod Flood Gates...... Mods been a Touchy Subject for the Devs.. With pure damage mods and where stand in the game. All i have to say is I'm glad that decision is not up to me. But..... As long as you have a goto mod they don't have to change. The Meta thrives. I got Beef with the META Skill may have some conflict of interest with it A good thing to do and maybe 1 day flood with mods Im talking about.... " i don't know what mod to use" kinda good thing Like the energy conversion type mods But they still play it safe with str8 stat mods Like steel fiber. Dual stat mods might come into play again Like xx% Armor/Duration/Rang + when energy full gain xx% Health/Shield/Strength Or Minus xx% energy and no cost of channel attacks /Crit Chance Or when you have, Have more Shield than Health or Vice Versa you get some type of buff This Will Shake things up , I would like to see it
Trick or treat!
Here have some flame repellant
I keep forgetting about Peculiar Audience. We really just let DE having a manic lil girl laugh in our ears huh?
“Mandatory Mods”
So I’m watching the Devstream and Scott mentioned the Braton’s stats leveling up as an example of a way to get rid of mandatory mods, like Serration. Now, I don’t know how far they intend to take this, but I’ve had that idea for a while now. As you become more skilled with the weapon(rank it up), I honestly think that it’s stats should grow. For example, By rank 30, it should get a 165% increase to it’s base damage, like having a maxed Serration it. That frees up a slot, gets rid of the biggest “Mandatory Mod”, and makes your weapons actually get better as you rank them up. Not to mention, they could finely tune specific weapons to level certain stats as they rank up. Perhaps even give Formas the capability to increase certain stats as you rank it back up to Rank 30 after Forma-ing it.
As for Multi-shot, make it based on chance. Either it’s a chance that it shoots more rounds, a chance that it consumes ammo, or both. There are plenty of ways to go about it that don’t include nuking the entire mechanic and nerfing it into the ground. Not that increasing ammo consumption would do that, but for a lot of guns it would be incredibly irritating.
