I had to watch the Tennocon stream again cause I was SO EXCITED I know there was stuff I missed. I also remember a lot of Orokin in Amir's F&F room!

SO this one specifically on the wall behind him says "How do you want to do this" referring to a common theme in D&D where players get to chose how to off enemies if they get the killing blow, or make certain decisions if the DM is asking them to do something specific.

I also noticed in this same text is a VERY FANCY, almost medieval version of Orokin!

Our sweet dork also literally wrote "Ding ding" on the popcorn bucket holding the bell to call him lol

Also, checked with a friend who was in game since I saw Minki's computer.. and this F&F room is actually going to be in the cafe downstairs from the look of it.

Also the "triple A game" jokes continue with what Amir has written on the board outside of the new area, "Action Adventure Association Assassination"

Soooo I’ve been over-analyzing Nitokh’s design recently and the first thing that ALARMED me was that she’s rocking the reverse lesbian manicure on her elongated arm. Girl. That’s sadistic.

Okokok but jokes aside, there are a couple similarities between her and Roathe’s clothes/designs. Their headdresses (and Uriel’s whole head) have similar, jagged shapes. They have similar hairstyles, different from the dreadlock-like look most Orokin have. The long “claw” on her index finger reminds me of Uriel’s talon on the index finger too.

I can definitely see Nitokh forcing Roathe to dress up in a similar style to her, but maybe it was a choice on Roathe’s side? A way to appeal to her even more?

Guys can we please not be racist please I'm begging y'all please don't be racist I am so tired.

Long rant under the cut and yes this is about the Orokin and Roathe.

The Orokin aren't bad because they're Orokin, they're bad because of their mindsets, actions, and willingness to just throw lives away on a whim. They are bad because of WHO they are, not WHAT they are.

And yes, I am saying this because I have on several occasions seen people go "Roathe = Orokin and Orokin = Evil so being cruel to him is ok/hating him for being Orokin is ok".

Let me be clear here. You can hate Roathe, criticize him, his past, whatever. Not my place to say which characters you should like/dislike. My issue stands with WHY people are dunking on him so hard.

Which, on a couple takes here and there, has been based solely on him being Orokin and nothing else. Hell, I've seen posts from people who haven't even gotten to his lore yet who just knee-jerk despise the guy because he's BlueTM. Like, that's racism. That is just racism my dudes we can be critical and angry of the Orokin Empire without just being flat out racist we're better than this.

The Orokin were cruel to their own kind just as much as everyone else. Roathe included if you know his lore. And he's genuinely trying, futility or not, to be better. Writing him off as just Evil Because Orokin is a huge disservice to his character. And once again, racist.

Can we PLEASE remind ourselves WHY the Orokin are bad and not just generalize/reduce it to them being evil because they're of a specific species/race. And that includes acknowledging that certain Orokin characters are capable of change and becoming better, or weren't even all that bad to begin with, rather they just hail from a society that was structured in a way where being evil and cruel was the only choice you had. It supported evil down to how Orokin children were raised and how they where taught to think and feel, but that doesn't mean that it's an inherent quality to them.

Roathe is literally proof of that. I'd even argue the Entrati are also proof of that to a degree. Someone in another post already said this but Roathe is a highly empathetic person. He genuinely cares about others. Problem is, he was raised in a way where he wasn't allowed to show that even a tiny bit because it could literally kill him. He became Vice Regent Grand Carnus Roathe partially, at least, out of survival. On top of all the abuse he suffered despite his well-off position. And we can see that he genuinely regrets and hates himself for putting that empathy on the shelf and not standing up for himself or the other people he was directly responsible for, rather becoming another cog in the empire's machine.

And he's not the only Orokin we've met who's suffered at the hands of their own people (usually Ballas and the Seven but from what we know it was kinda just how you were expected to behave in general in Orokin society).

All this to say, please remember WHY you hate the Orokin. Not because of what they are (as in, their species/race), but who they chose to become, what they allowed their society to turn them into, and what they believe. No one is born evil. It's a choice.
