Got a burst of inspiration for my villain Penguins of Madagascar au. So I made an updated ref sheet and drawing

Tbh, I'm not sure if they would really care, but how would the warheads react to somebody close to them crying/having a panic attack?

Skipper is emotionally drained from the trauma he wnet through when Private got kidnapped. So anyone close to him crying would resurface those memories. When that happens, he shuts down. Everything around him he drowns out, and all he can see is those terrible memories.

Rico's mind terribly broken, but he still understands emotional pain. . . to a degree. When someone close is hurt, he tries to help them feel better by giving them dead things hes collected, or just flops on top of them like a weighted blanket.

Kowalski is emotionally hurt and traumatized from past events, and also sees emotions as a flaw. He surgically modified part of his brain that signals emotion in his process to be perfect. So, if someone, like his brothers, is hurting. He will go stand next to them or open up his arms for a hug, but there is no feeling behind it.

Question in the Warhead au

Who has the most trauma? 

Rico. Definitely Rico. Being tortured in a “correction” facility, having iron restraints surgically bolted into his flippers, and neglected. I don’t know how he WOULDN’T be traumatized

Hmmmm. . . I’d say Dr. K. He’s very emotionally closed off and chooses to stay distant from others.

I know it's been mentioned that kowalski has sleeping issues, and with the way you described the purpose of Miss Dolly, does that mean Rico is the same?

Yes! Rico often gets trauma nightmares from his time at the correction facility (still yet to be named). Miss Dolly was the only thing that comforted him during that time, so he has a very special connection to her. If she gets lost or damaged, he will start to panic and become violent. Dr K. says he does not care, but he often spends time with Rico in his room at night.

Can Rico not speak at all, or can he rasp out a few words ounce in a while?

Rico can rasp out a few words. He calls Kowalski ‘KiKi’ and Skipper ‘Pipper’, but those are the only words he can really say. The rest is grunts and his collar talking for him.

Where exactly do the warheads live?

I have yet to design it (mostly since I’m scare lol). But they live in a large underwater sub/war base in the shape of an angler fish. So they live all over.

Sorry it couldn’t be more, I’ve been super busy with college and it’s been sapping all of my motivation to draw 😭.

Lore dump in the undercut!

But some more lore info I got: The Warheads are considered to be THE most dangerous villain group in the world currently. The North Wind spend all their time tracking them down and trying (and failing) to put an end to their evil schemes.

The evil schemes being for the world to fear the Warheads, of course! Skipper and his brothers want the world to know that penguins are not just cute and cuddly, and are a force to be reckoned with.
