HEADCANON. SLADE
currently if you were to ask tara about slade, she'd more likely than not doge the question. it's a obvious sore spot for tara, and those who do bring it up to her: (usually other titans) do it just to get a rise out of her, & she used to take the bait: get angry and pin point things about whoever said it, to pick apart and tear down. now... now, she just ignores it. she acts like it doesn't bother her, uses the thick skin she's developed over the years since she's came back to life, despite it / him / being that still deeply bothers her. she knows most titans: new or old, wont actually come to her defense when her history with slade is acknowledge, after the (judas) contract, she was burned in the eyes of the others: now&forever. the traitor teen titan. she blames slade for alot of it.. & sometimes.. she hates herself for it: she thought she loved him after all & now she cant even stand to look at him after what he did to her... unfortunately in the eyes of the titans, they're both sociopaths / they're both monsters, despite how much tara tried to assure them she's not the same girl she was before. they still think its only a matter of time before she goes running back to slade.. but she won't. she wont ever go back to slade ever again.
“ Yeah, ” Alex agreed, a quiet, effervescent breath of admission, stilted by the tension residing in the slump of her shoulders.
Maggie was right; it’d been both of them. If they’d discussed the intricacies of the future sooner, if they’d hashed out the details from the start of their destined forever, if they’d come to an agreement that didn’t feel like the beginning of a stalemate --- maybe overcoming the strange, distancing oddity of it all wouldn’t have taken so long. Maybe Alex wouldn’t have felt so guilty. Maybe Maggie would have known without any shred of doubt that she loved her above everything else, and in spite of anything that’d been said.
Breathing through the shiver of desire to pick up the wine glass she’d set on the coffee table ( anything to distract her from the bristle of heat blooming behind her eyes, from the heavy lurch her stomach gave, from the flutter her heart gave in hopeful retaliation, Alex released her lower lip from between her teeth. “ And I -- I know what I said. You know? About what I wanted... about you and me. But I don’t want anything if it’s not with you. ”

her footsteps are a bit unsteady, but she couldn’t care less when she’s stepping on actual ground, on earth. the scenery takes her breath away, but the figure suddenly standing in front of her gives it back. feet run straight into his arms, lips colliding with his. it’s seems like the last time she touched him was a lifetime ago.
she pulls back only slightly, hands still gripping his jacket as if he’ll disappear again the moment she lets go. “ finn... ” an exhale of relief is expressed. finally able to fully breathe with him on her side. her eyes shift everywhere, taking in the sight of him. “ you’re okay... ” he’s here, alive. she’s holding him under the tip of her fingertips. she didn’t lose him.
“ what are you doing ? ”
flirting or oblivious.
“ losing my mind. ” margaret deadpanned, manicured nails brushing through thick tendrils of hair. she thought she'd give it a shot, try to get herself out of this sticky situation with charm and her usual easy flirts.
heel taps, echoed in the room as her gaze turns to the cracked window : distorting the view of the sky above them. “ i'm tired, hungry, and dehydrated. call it delirium. ”
"amazing what you can learn when you're a fly on the wall."
" speaking of which, thought i'd return these to you. " dick reached into a pouch in his belt, and tossed, what appeared to be three tiny remote cameras, pried open until the wires were exposed from when he'd run analysis on them, until they clinked against the toe of slade's boots.
" i'd almost be flattered by your crush on me, if it wasn't so weird and pathetic, " he sneered. invasion of privacy aside, slade wilson got on dick's nerves, which he learned long ago was the whole point for the old mercenary. the only upside of this newest STALKING SPREE of slade's was that now, dick could prioritize a long overdue update of his security systems. he'd gotten in touch with lucius as soon as he found the damned things.
" see anything interesting? like, say, my preferred cereal brands, or how much takeout i order? "

"we do it my way," steve said, trying to MAINTAIN control. not only because he was an EXCELLENT strategist, but when WORKING with someone he deemed the enemy....he wanted to AVOID casualties.
"is that going to BE a problem?" @warled
“ what the fuck happened to you? ”
"I lost a fight with a fence post. What's it to you?" Oliver snapped. His green eyes shone from behind his mask, a certain bitter sneer on his face. He had yet to straighten up, one hand still braced against his knee as he looked up. Defiant to the end, in spite of the fact the world continued to spin before him.
One too many concussions? Likely as not.
He pushed himself up with a groan and spots began to flash before his eyes. The glittering stars faded as he tightened his grip on the bow. He was going to go down swinging if he had anything to say about it.
