But unless it’s implied canon otherwise everything between is taken as a joke.

This is my prize.” Our elegant gentleman retrieves a jewellery box, and lifts away two layers of organised accessories to reveal a statement necklace, beaded with amber, turquoise, silver, and hand-carved beads of wood and horn.  He runs his fingers over it delicately, longingly, and tucks it away once more. “It is a gift from a Dalish family, some years ago now. I remember their trust and hospitality with great fondness. Someday, I hope I will be worthy to wear it.”

Everything. I’ve never had a lot of friends in my life, and those I have considered to be close to usually just leave me behind. Right now there’s only 2 people I know I could trust with anything, and I love them very dearly.
