Warm Blue
Is is a royal blue,
Warm jumpers worn for school?
Or Aquamarine, bright blue,
Reminiscent of ocean scenes?
What blues class as warm,
And how could I describe it more?

Ultramarine Blue: Warm or Cool? A Painter’s Confession

Blue, A Summer Picnic And A Kiss This girl was blue, I can’t explain why but today it hit me. And she’s blue. From her amazing laugh to the soft memory of her kiss. Neither of us knows what really happened that day. A day full of laughter. Or why we kissed each other. But I’m glad we did because now we know each other’s taste and know it’s not for us. She’s blue like the sky we stared up at talking about falling in love. And the blue in my sherbet that day. She’s the blue that supported me in late nights. The blue that stayed up with me while I wanted to die. The blue that gave me second hand fandoms. And made me fall in love with a boy band. The blue that’s love won’t fade. Her soul doesn’t show in her eyes to most but to me, it does and it’s star dust. Sometimes destructive and incredibly breathtaking. She was blue. And my best friend. I think a part of my soul with always love her in an unexplainable way.

When held against glass, on the edge of outline, you would bring me, lilac flowers, glazed, papery shapes unhooked from warm blue I am lost again, subtracted from the radiant, as if in the middle of a feeling, something watery, humid, and gray took hold, you are, in these unstable scales of terror, the only ending I intuit, red scarf on the street, sparse, bright rain that falls around your resting heartbeat, for no one loves this world who cannot be damaged, hard carmine and quartz, all the injury in color, you stack, mint, needle, thermos and tin, as if, in being near to them, I might come to glow
