TBH I don’t think earth should’ve made that public apology—AND DONT GET ME WRONG. what he said was bad. and if anything he should’ve just went to Titan 1 on 1 instead of doing that whole thing because even after that the whole server jumped him anyways.

if anything, sam shedding himself of morals and empathy to become "stronger" like dean, and in order to survive a world without his older brother, assuming a more violent, rash, and dark form of himself,, sam later on falling for ruby's manipulation—despite knowing better—because she sounded enough like dean (in first reviving his will to live and keep on fighting instead of killing himself, mind you), shows you that sam has come to love the IDEA of his big brother, a simulation of what dean makes him feel, perhaps more than dean himself, and proven so when we witness sam crash out and suffocate him when dean persists in calling him out and pushing the other way, and this says everything about sam and nothing about dean. hope this helps.

honestly I'm just starting to get concerned over the language being used to discuss abuse and family and other themes in spn by the broader "general audience" on tiktok, youtube shorts and even Instagram. there's a repetition of cruel comments and misinterpretations about dean, acting like he has no personality outside of anger and alcohol etc.. and it's just really horrible to see him being watered down like this and to see people's proud ignorance re: trauma in board daylight.
I'm not starting a fight with anyone, I'm an adult lol, but i do wish to see less hate for dean because one, i love him, and two, it's often resulted by childish bad faith arguments or a misreading of spn.
if I want to see people criticizing or analyzing dean I'd rather it be something accurate instead of a pile of data manipulation topped with victim blaming. that stuff is so disappointing, and especially frustrating when it's coming from people who pretend to know all about dysfunctional families and abusive dynamics. it's not a suffering competition (god, that too gets boring and childish so fast) but it seems very hypocritical. I guess that's how stan bias works after all?? regardless, i don't want any part of that.
honestly i wish the way dean x amara was talked about in a different tone. don't know if it'd've been better if she were a guy. probably worse... way worse actually i take that back. anyways dean catching creep allegations because they had a jacob renesmee thing even though he'd been the victim of the relationship, the whole thing just being seen as a product of bad hetero writing and therefore dismissed, the rapey text being completely ignored, dean being treated like a cheater for it all- blah blah blah you get the gist. i hate that. and i've committed these sins so i know what im talking about. i do appreciate the suicidal ideation metaphor some people caught on, but the show addressed it so terribly that i secretly pray it wasn't that at all.

yeah I also really dislike the fact that this has become normalized. even though oftentimes I'm very intrigued by these kinds of discussions in fandom, but the passive aggressive and the childish posts really do put me off of this topic. it becomes useless to discuss.
I don't agree that the fandom is much kinder to sam, or that samgirls didn't experience a lot of aggression from other sides of the fandom. In fact i credit most of their now behavior and favoritism to their past experiences with rapid antis and bias (even though honestly I think it's very childish to continue this cycle of aggression but whatever).
I will say, however, that in wincest spaces specifically sam is getting"better" treatment. and it's a very interesting observation that the other anon brought up; how sam hate can be very out of pocket and full of victim blaming, but never including accusing him of being an abuser, a groomer, or a rapist, or anything super serious like that (correct me if I'm wrong). so that is notably unfair, and while i don't think pointing fingers and invalidating other's experiences will help, i totally understand where you're coming from.

-> BlackPink needs to disband they dont care about the group activities and this anniversary where only 40 people can go is just sad ALSO yall dont even know whos gonna be there; considering out of 4 members MAYBE 1 will show up. i don’t think those odds are worth it.
-> Hating on ANY group without a good reason is stupid. BUT i think going out of your way to actively hate on that group is absolute loser behavior. its completely ok to have a good reason and not like a group but commenting under EVERY post relating to that group makes you seem like a fan and is just sad. And this is coming from me: a person who hates Blackpink. my reasons for that is racism for very obvious reasons no matter how long ago it was. i blocked Blackpink on everything. i don’t watch their content and i don’t actively try to engage in it to hate.
-> Kpop stans are so parasocial it’s starting to get scary. The poor girl Mina, may she RIP, died and all the engnes online are complaining about how this reflects on the group. Ni-ki is not to blame, Jungwon is not to blame, and Mina is definitely not to blame. The only people you can blame in this situation is the toxic “engnes” who bullied her so bad to the point she killed herself. and now another group of engnes are targeting the toxic ones and the bullying continues. how many deaths do yall need before yall realize your bulling is doing nothing but making peoples lives worse. yes bullying is bad and yes that means bullying bullies.
-> kpop stans are dramatic. like dramatic crybabies about everything. this is mostly bc of the recent post of Sion from NCT wish with that ice cream. Personally i liked the video not only because hes my bias but because i just did. but tiktok “wishies” are being dramatic about how they feel about the video. No the video is not harrasing you. if you don’t like the video thats fine but sitting and complaining about the video. this has now spiraled into people hating Sion for just existing. Once again, spreading hate about a group is stupid but claiming to be a fan of a group and hating a member for doing literally nothing wrong is insane work.
-> Army’s are fucking insane. i don’t think i need to say much about that but i’ll admit im not a fan of BTS. i like jungkook and thats about it… HOWEVER Armys are usually the first to complain about a group being slightly more popular than BTS and will start hating anyone related to that group. Of course this isnt every Army but it is unfortunately a large portion of them.
-> this is a carry on of the last point but in more detail. The hatred between Armys and Stays is something i’ve only seen go one way. Armys hate when someone says that Stray kids are the 4th gen group or that stray kids paved the way for groups after them. I think Armys believe they are the one true kpop stans and they think anyone else is just a “poser”.
-> Stray kids hate is so very stupid. I haven’t seen a good point come out of a skz anti ever. and yall are free to prove me wrong but people only seem to hate skz for being so compared to BTS. i don’t think any group is “paving the way” so to speak but i do think that groups can expand the way groups can interact with international fans. BTS helped push kpop out of Korean thats great but skz are carrying on that push and using it to make themselves bigger, which is a great thing for both groups.
-> Orbits are weird. I really don’t think i have to explain why but if you aren’t up-to-date orbits, or loona stans, have a running “joke” of doxxing someone for saying an opinion about loona or, from what i’ve seen, when someone accidentally streams loona without knowing about the boycott. doxxing is wrong no matter the stance but sometimes loona stans take it too far and instead of educating someone about whats going on they would rather doxx someone for something they didn’t mean.
-> another thing about orbits is that they claim that loona is the most unproblematic group out there. this is just wrong loona has done problematic things in the past and i think thats something loona stans should realize.
-> STOP TREATING IDOLS LIKE THEY DON’T KNOW BETTER. Heres how I see it: If someone does something under the age if 10 thats not their fault as thats a child who most likely doesn’t know any better but once they’re older then 12-13 they are responsible for their actions and should be held accountable for things they’ve done. This also goes for certain things like saying slurs or wearing braids. Personally i don’t find wearing braids as Racist as long as the person themself hasn’t done something to prove otherwise or if the braids look like complete ass (cough cough RM cough cough). However in situations like Tarzzan and RM they should absolutely be held accountable on all stances including the braids.
-> this is a really hot take but i think this varies from person to person. Idgaf if an idol does something against a religion. I do believe that people should respect others and stuff but i can promise you dancing in a church doesn’t do anything crazy. Idk if i think this way because im not religious or because it just isn’t a good reason to hate a group but it’s not something crazy that needs to be talked about. I personally don’t like religion and the grounds that all religions are built on so idgaf if they “disrespect” a religion but i do think we should educate them as to why what they’ve done isn’t the smartest.
-> this one is specifically for Kissies, also known as kiss of life stans, i think that if someone has to apologize more then once for the same issue then they aren’t sorry. kiss of life has apologized 6 times and yall still accept it every time. The racism that group has shown is insane and kissies really think that just because they’ve “apologized” means they actually care. they don’t. they apologize because they got in trouble for it not because they care. I wholeheartedly think i’d prefer a group never apologize then apologize multiple times and continue to do racist things. Both sides are bad either way and i think apologizing once and learning from what you’ve done and never doing it again is the best way to go about it.
