I wonder I do why the parents are so adamant on not letting MC leave to go for college?
They believed that Mousy had a lot of issues like mental and in Betty's family, her family has generational blindness and sometimes it skips some but her family (like her sister, her mother, her grandmother) so she didnt want Mousy to go to college because of that but also because they both thought that Mousy would kill themselves, kill someone, or go missing due to their mental health.
Also because they originally did have a child before Mousy but the child was sadly dead due to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and this would be mentioned in the prologue or side stories.
