What's your favorite place to hang out?
Nature trails! Especially in autumn! The weather is so nice and the scenery is breathtaking.
Jasmine tea, iced coffee, and herbal tea!
Jasmine Tea : If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?I wanna be one of those basic people and travel Europe hahhaah
Iced Coffee : Do you like reading? If so, what’s your favorite book?I do love reading, but I’m really not sure of my favourite book. Too many to choose from.
Herbal Tea : You’re at a candle shop, what scented candle do you buy?Something like firewood! My favourite smell.
12, 13, 14, 20?
12. A character I wish I was better at
Pharah. My brother is amazing at her but I kind of suck. If I get her in 1v1 you KNOW I’m about to lose. But character wise, she’s super cool and has amazing abilities. I wish I could do her justice (hehehehehehehe) when I play her. She’s that cool.
13. My favorite ultimate
Dragonstrike! 200 damage per second AND looks super cool. And terrifying when it’s coming right at you. A close runner-up is Deadeye because it’s so fun to do and so awful to be on the receiving end of, and also Resurrect because mass rezzes are a one-way ticket to play of the game. That, and I love counter-ulting.
14. One gameplay tip with my most played character
With Hanzo, be smart about your use of scatter arrows. They’re a great tool for enemies in corridors and halls, and my personal number one use of them is for enemies that have super high mobility and speed to the point that it’s pointless to aim (looking at you, Tracer, Genji, and Lucio). Or, if you’re behind a shielded Reinhardt, shooting one at the shield and having them all bounce back at his and his team’s faces is the most fun thing ever. But because they’re such a useful tool, your best bet is to try to think about making them count every time.
If you find yourself kind of bad with aiming scatter arrows or making them work the way you want them to, a great trick is to know that they spread in very clear-cut vectors. If you can angle the vectors correctly on smooth terrain, it’s easy to be able to control the spread of arrows to go where you want them to. So when using a scatter arrow, try to think about the vector to avoid wasting one and missing the enemy entirely. The vector is also really important to think about when you’re at a more awkward angle and trying to aim into a corridor or room. Obviously you can’t constantly be thinking about it, especially in more panicky situations like that Genji coming at you, but if you’re in a situation where you can really aim with intent or need to aim that arrow juuuust right, keeping the vector shape in mind is a good idea.
20. My fifth most played character
Ana. I’ve recently started playing her more because, come on. Healing sniper. That is an AWESOME concept. I have a preference both for sniping and for support, so she’s pretty awesome. Not my go-to support just yet-- Mercy is a much more effective healer in general because her healing is more fast, direct, and efficient-- but her abilities have real value, especially sleeping enemies and preventing healing on enemy players. I also have her pimped out because of lootboxes. I have every legendary skin for her except for Wasteland, plus the Halloween skin, and a pretty sweet highlight intro. So I feel like I have to play her now.
Coral, boardwalk, turquoise, pearl, fog, hurricane?
coral: if you had to describe your personality as a food, what would you be and why?
Dark chocolate. Bitter and likable to some, but disgusting to other palates.
boardwalk: who is your favourite fictional couple?
I think my all-time favorite couple has to be Bucky/Steve from Marvel, but honestly Civil War has given me an interest in Tony/Steve.
turquoise: weirdest dream you’ve ever had?
It was some weird MUN committee at some fancy private school. I was in a double delegation with a close friend of mine and our topic was-- and I remember this perfectly, for some reason-- the imperial Anglicization of non-European ethnic cultures. We were India. For some reason, all we had to write on were these orangey-red papers and we were in a very weird-looking classroom. Next thing I know, I enter a building of the school and it’s my kitchen, where my dad and brother are sitting by this gigantic flat-screen TV that’s playing a football game. I was lucid for the very end, and for some reason, I remember reading numbers in my dream (even though apparently that’s not supposed to happen). They were red numbers on a white building-- 18965.
pearl: if you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I would go to Switzerland to see the parts of it I didn’t get to check out in my first trip, specifically in the Italian-speaking portion of the country. And of course I’d love to see Geneva, and return to Zurich.
fog: describe where you think you’ll be in five years.
In five years I’ll be a senior in college, finishing my major-- probably public health or chemistry-- and applying to medical schools.
hurricane: describe a strange habit of yours.
I have this weird tendency to count something about every object I come across or interact with (”interact” makes me sound like a video game character). Maybe it’s the number of wrinkles in a piece of paper or the number of marks on the body of a wooden pencil, but I always have to count it and commit it to memory. The useful thing is that it makes me good at knowing the differences between two very similar objects and knowing exactly what is mine and what isn’t.
20-24, 38-39?
Really long post, especially with #20. I hope I told these stories well.
For the ask meme- Firestar, Saïx, Treecko, that standing-up-on-two-legs Litten evolution(WHY), and Brambleclaw?
Put 5 Characters in My Ask and I’ll Put Them in Order of My Preference
Least to most:
Firestar
Luchalitten (el bae)
Bramblestar (it’s about a tie between him and luchalitten ngl)
Saix
Treecko
Thanks so much for the ask!
30-40? :D
30: are your hands cold?
Often. Sometimes they’re inexplicably warm.
31: if you had to choose three articles of clothing to keep for the next three years of your life, what would they be?
1) My Johns Hopkins Hoodie
2) My German National Football Team track jacket
3) The white dress with the yellow flowers
32: monet or da vinci?
Da Vinci by a long shot. Monet was excellent but da Vinci was something else, man. He pushed the boundaries of his time to the point of no return.
33: van gogh or michelangelo?
A very tough one. I’d have to go with Michelangelo, if only because of the way that the Sistine Chapel stole the very air from my lungs.
34: if you were a teacher, what would you assign to your class as their first project?
It depends on what subject I’m teaching, but if it were history I’d DEFINITELY go with some type of genealogy/family history project. And if there were kids with circumstances where they couldn’t really do a project like that (e.g. kids who are adopted and don’t know who their parents were), I’d definitely have an alternative project. Something to do with placing themselves as demigods of some ancient religion and tracing THAT genealogy.
35:how do you pronounce 'crayon'?
Usually, cray-on. But if I’m talking fast it sounds more like creh-ahn.
36:have you ever wanted to be invisible?
Only all the time. I’d put it to good use.
37:have you ever wanted to be everywhere?
Yes and no. It would be terrifying to witness so much at once, but there’s so much I want to witness.
38:if you could change any one thing about your current surroundings, what would it be?
We wouldn’t all be plagued with the knowledge that eventually most of the state is going to disappear under rising sea levels. Perhaps in my lifetime.
39:do you hear things in layers or all at once?
Layers. Unless my hearing aid is kind of overloading my senses like it does sometimes.
40:neon light or natural light?
Natural.
