I’ll be celebrating VAMPIRELLA’S 50th Anniversary a lot this week and my association with the character, leading up to a reveal of my @mikemayhewstudio store #variant cover for July’s VAMPIRELLA #1. VAMPIRELLA was a comic magazine I picked as a kid in the early 70s from the 7-11 newsstand along with CREEPY and EERIE from #warrenpublishing. I have no idea why my mom would let me get those books. I don’t think she knew exactly what was in them! But these were my go to comics at 5 and six years old before I got into Marvel and DC comics.
