Sadness only leads to suffering ll Lightning ll AU
Wandering, wandering, wandering was all the hunter was able to do in light of the events that had transpired. He had no concept of time any longer, it was merely inconsequential to him at this point, seeing as he was now Caius' successor. He couldn't go back to Serah and Snow...Or face the love of his life for that matter. How could he explain that he was going to be the one thing he always wanted to avoid since they had all met? He just wandered the endless pathways of the Historia Crux, the endless abyss of time and chaos. Maybe he would find somewhere worthwhile to his mission. That or somewhere to let everything come crashing down on him, and let his tears roam freely without a judging glance. He was above all else; Scared. What was he supposed to do now? His life had only begun back then, just a couple of months ago...Now it was over. He had high hopes for his future. He wanted to properly fall in Hope all over again. He wanted to go to university so he could learn something and be something more than a simple hunter. But no. Caius had to have his way, and well, could he deny what his mentor always desired, freedom from his curse? No, it would be cruel indeed. So he took it on himself, but regretted every moment of it now. He wanted to go home, he wanted to wake up from his horrid nightmare. So he wandered further, and further into the timeline, before going into a familiar warm light, not knowing his destination. He closed his eyes, and let it swallow him in it's comforting familiarity. He felt like he was falling, yet floating. Like when he first came to Valhalla at the brink of death...It felt so peaceful...
