“He was always referred to as Warrior Thanos, as opposed to the Philosopher Thanos that would be in Infinity War,“ Burt says. For Warrior Thanos, `we were going for pure armor and figuring out battleready, aggressive designs. What would look really intimidating to fight against? [Former Co-Head of Visual Developement] Charlie Wen had already done the version that was in Avengers and Guardians, and the aesthetic was already determined for this costume, so I tried to stay true to what had already been put on screen and come up with a more heavily armored version of that- or a different silhouetted version of that -and stick with some of the design motifs that were already there.”
