Part 8 - Get Back to my Chambers!

Summary: A discovery is made. Then another... And another…

He stopped. He stilled. Watching her. Standing in the open doorway, smiling, as he heard her hum the tune to that song.

'The Hammer and the Anvil.'

He felt his ears and cheeks burn, when her hums altered and she started to sing out those lyrics. He coughed, making his presence known, before she could get there.

She turned, opening her mouth to berate whoever had interrupted her song and her work. Not having much free time, as a servant to a Prince. But when she saw who stood there, a dark shadow, framed by the bright light of the barely-born morning sun. Her words fell to the floor, followed by her jaw and her eyes widened and stared at the heir to the throne. "Your Grace! You should not be here!" She stood, stepping towards where he stood, holding his hands clasped together in front of him, his cane in the middle, standing as straight as his cane that he leaned upon.

"So, this is where you hide?" he smiled over at her. Offering her his best regal smile, the one he used on all lessers, who he wished to put at their ease.

What is Warrior Wednesday?

Every Wednesday, a prompt question will be posted. These will be questions about characters personalities and growth. They can be headcanons of established warriors such as Suki or Ty Lee, or they can be development for original characters. You answer can be as short as a few sentences, or a full blown fic. Questions will be posted on Tuesday nights at 9:00 PM EST. 

Where do I answer?

Create a new post (please do not put your answer in the replies of the prompt announcement) with the question at the top, and your answer below. If your answer incorporates visual elements, we encourage that you add descriptions! If you do not add a description we will provide one for you. Make sure to tag @kyoshiwarriornet when posting! 

Who can participate?

Warrior Wednesday is open to everyone, members and non members. There is no requirement to participate. You can answer some weeks but not others, and you can reply late. However, we will only reblog answers submitted that day. 

Can I submit prompts?

Yes, we accept prompt submissions! You can submit via an ask. Make sure that you preface your ask with “prompt submission” so we know this isn’t a question about the blog. If you send an ask with your username (not anonymous), you will be tagged in the announcement as credit. Not all submissions will be accepted, and some prompts may be slightly modified for clarity.

Fight practice was less fencey than I'd hoped, but I did fence Lesley, then towards the end armoured up and bashed around a bit first with Lesley so she could try out stuff she was wroking on- mixing up different shots and moves - then with a brief bearpit. For many reasons (generally, this past week or so - the despressed feeling like a fifth wheel and being search of something to actually aim for, the work stress of 24 hour shifts, the lack of sleep and interference to  dietary routine...) my heart wasn;t really in it particulary but it was fun to bash around burning off some blood glucose. Then in the end managed to take hits to th base of the thumb and then the heel of the hand, which had been unusually exposed due to too loose a grip on the stick (because of not being on my game) - nothing seems damaged, but, bearing in mind how Lesley's went, I won't fight in armour next week, just in case.
