Well... now that I can actually play the Midnight changes, my long-ambivalent feelings towards Rend have been made clear.
For arms, it's tolerable. It's an unsatisfying button to press, but keeping it up doesn't take much cognitive load, and at least it's AoE.
For Fury, it's jarring and I hate it and I sincerely believe the spec would benefit from its removal - or at least be made a passive. There are already several bleeds Fury will want to track as it is; needing to interrupt the rotation because oop, Rend's gonna fall off and nothing in the kit refreshes it, feels bad. It's less of a problem on Mountain Thane, obviously, but on Slayer, to me, it's awful. At least it's AoE.
Slight tangent, but why does Fury need so many bleeds? That's the Feral Druids' niche! They should keep it!
