It just kinda stares at umbra, and pokes his nose with one of the knife like blades it considers claws. Tilting its head with an amused long eyes stare that most plush toys gave. Little room for self expression with a body made of stuffing and fabrics.

“An amusing playmate… i cannot wait. To hunt it when it is older… so small… like the rabbit… heheheh… you’ll make a fun challenge…. Or so i hope… voidborne pups must learn fast… or they will die… ehe.” It speaks through some off voicebox, humming as it scritches behind the hoglets ear with those dangerous long knife claws.

He stares. Looking twords the hoglets direction. Sniffing until he can make contact with the little hoggie and tenderly, licks at his face. Tail wagging subtly behind him as he affectionately loves on the hoglet.

“Pup…. Precious…. Ccare. Care… tend to… pup…. Like my own….” Is the most you’d get out of him when hes not speaking voidspeech. He returns to loving and doting on umbra, like a first-time mother wolf. Which is, essentially, what this kolossos felt like he was.

“AHAH. This little fuckin thing?” He points a claw at umbra. Amused and grinning eat to ear as his ears wiggle, he cackles, and scruffs the little hoglet, doing his best to not hurt him too badly. “I LOVE THIS LITTLE GUY! WHY WOULDN’T I? HES SMALLER THEN ME AND FUNNY LOOKIN. MARKETABLE PLUSH TYPE SHIT.”

He just stuffs the hoglet into his quills, letting umbra chill in his matted, blood soaked fur. “MY CHILD, IF YOU WOULD. HAHAH. FREE KID FOR ME.”

Ah… the.. small version of the hedgehog that ruined his life. The young one that had no clue the pain he’d cause him in the future.

He kneels down twords the little hoglet, and huffs, patting his head with his one hand. “You’re not a bad kid. You’re charming and kinda cute. You.. remind me of my younger self.. the good parts.” He didn’t need to know the pain that he’d inflict in the future. If that even was in the cards for this ones future. He’d get nothing out of killing an innocent version of his families murderer.

He moves, carefully, and coils around the hoglet as he scoops him into his lap. “You’re safe with me.”

“You’re… confusing.” An ear flick. “You didn’t take the chance to kill me when you could’ve, to avenge all the innocent lives i took for my own selfish needs in that war. For hurting your friends, Sonic. Or atleast turning me in and getting me in jail. It would’ve probably given you a handsome sum of money for turning in a warcriminal.” He huffs, shaking his fur out.

“You’re confusing. I don’t get what your motive is. Why you keep me alive and free from bars. After everything I’ve done.”

“…but you’re not a bad person to be around. You’re confusing. I can’t understand your motives, what you want, what you think you gain from ‘befriending’ me.. but you’re entertaining… i find myself enjoying the company. Enjoying a presence that i don’t have to tiptoe around. Someone who wont make me bleed for simple mistakes… as… alien as it is to experience a normal life. If even for afew moments At a time.” A small pause, more flicks of the war and a simple swish of the tail. “But it’s annoying trying to get into your head. Annoying because i don’t know when you’ll turn around and have your fangs ripping my flesh apart.
