𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐅𝐀𝐕𝐎𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐆𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐇𝐀 ; those that wore their amplifiers with pride . it’s not difficult to say that the darkling played favorites --- always alone , he sought out like minded people those that he believed wanted nothing more than to protect the grisha no matter WHAT the cost . he found those in his lieutenants , IVAN of course --- prepped for his war as if fire drew through his veins , ZOYA --- whose prowess and all in the way she carried herself made her a leader above all else ; someone he could have imagined leading alongside of . of course , a multitude of soldiers and those he trusted were lost .
ivan was mourned quietly in the space of his room , silent recollection of the stories he’d tell and the strength he held . aleksander keeps a book of those closest to him , though there aren’t any names , nor dates , simply torn pieces of kefta . only he knows who each piece stands for .
there was a young tidemaker that was nicknamed kelpie , a small powerhouse of her own design ---- she was one of the first of his order that he lost , she’s one of the people he thinks of when he says over the years i have lost many friends --- it’s a warning . she was one of the first to have her blue kefta pinned to the leatherbound book , though the piece was small --- there was too much blood staining the fabric to save much of it .
the list of those in the second army that the darkling lost is vast , the ones that were closest to him still sits a sour note for him , and while he’s never shown it to the others , he mourns each loss in his own way --- a means of quiet contemplation and consideration of subtle vengeance .
