Kings of War and Warthrone
The Quartermaster game systems for both Kings of War and Warthrone are now available at templates.quartermasterapp.com. These are new game systems without many templates yet submitted to share. Get creating and submit them to [email protected].
Kings of War
Download the Kings of War system for Quartermaster.
Check out the Kings of War rules at Mantic Games.
Kings of War army composition works quite differently to Warhammer-style games. Composition is based around the size of units (Troops, Regiments, Hordes, and Legions) so the Quartermaster game system is also set up this way. As such, you’ll need to add a unit entry for each size that a unit can be, in each of the different categories.
For example, Abyssal Dwarfs can take Immortal Guard in both Troop and Regiment sizes, so you would need two Immortal Guard entries: one in the Troop and one in the Regiment category (each with their respective sizes and points costs). Blacksouls can be Troop, Regiment, or Horde sized, so you’d need three entries for them.
Change the unit size to a set size, and set it to the size of the Troop, Regiment, Horde, or Legion.
Set the points to be per unit.
Add the unit type (Infantry, Cavalry, etc) to the Rules.
Add anything listed as “Special” for the unit to the Rules.
Add any “Options” to the Equipment section.
Download the Abyssal Dwarfs template for a complete example.
Warthrone
Download the Warthrone system for Quartermaster.
Check out the Warthrone rules at Avatars of War.
Warthrone army composition works very similarly to Warhammer Fantasy Battles. All units are classified either as Commanders, Heroes, Regular Troops, Elite Troops, Special Troops, War Machines, or Creatures and Monsters, so add unit entries to those categories.
Add “Magic Objects & Special Properties” to the Equipment section.
Add “Weapons” to the Equipment section.
Add “Armor” to the Equipment section.
Add “Command Options” to the Command section.
Add “Formations” to the Rules.
Add “Orders” to the Rules. Add any optional Orders to the Equipment section.
Add “Special Rules” to the Rules. Add any optional Special Rules to the Equipment section.
Add “Mount” to the Mount section.
Add “Spells” to the Magic section.
Download the Dwarfs template for a complete example.
