MOC: Warvin’s Hunting Chopper
I mentioned on my previous MOC post that I had built another Chima MOC, and it’s about time that I showed it off.
I took a some inspiration from Nick from Planet Ripple on YouTube and loosely based the frame of the bike off an old Power Miners set I had as a kid, the Stone Chopper, while adding the iconic wolf face from other Wolf Tribe vehicles like the Pack Tracker or the Combat Lair. I especially liked how the nose of the face ended up being the front wheel of the bike.
One advantage of the technic frame is that it allows for easy clip attachments for weapon storage, which in turn helps the back end of the vehicle not look so bare.
One of the struggles of making this model was getting the driver to sit upright instead of leaning too far forward, but the solution turned out to be quite simple. Instead of studding in the driver, I added a couple of rounded slope pieces for the seat, which allowed the driver to slide easily into a proper upright position while being secured in place by the handle bars.
