You can't fix anything with rocket launcher but you can fix everything with a car bomb.

I'm FIIIIIINALLYYYYYYYY doing the selfie tag that I got tagged in like weeks ago. Who knows if it was the week I was doing a project for my Arabic class: Hijabi Muslim for a Week (for Muslim Appreciation Week at my school), but I'm choosing this picture anyway! I wore different headscarves and long sleeves and long pants/floor length and long sleeved dresses and documented what I experienced (any weird stares, strange comments, etc) and also how I felt during it. It was for a project for my class but also to show the appreciation for hijabi Muslim women since it was the appreciation week and to stand in solidarity with all Muslims especially with the Muslim Ban. It was really cool getting to walk in their shoes for a week. My experience was very positive. I was sort of surprised but really grateful. And I didn't tell people I was even doing this either. Although it was so great, I still know that that is not the case for other hijabi Muslims in Chicago or if I was somewhere else. Two of the comments I received that really struck me were: 1) "this look really suits you well" and 2) "Wow you've converted to a Muslim now too?!"...*explains I'm not and why I'm dressed as I am*..."wow well that's really cool. You look like you're Ethiopian!". I didn't know how to feel about these comments but I just accepted them. But it was super awesome I got to experience this first hand and I felt a sense of belonging and the Muslim organization at my school is so sweet. All and all, thanks for the tag @haengboktae and letting me relive a little bit of that awesome week 💌😁💘☺
