🖐️ what do their hands feel like: soft, calloused, trembling?: their hands are very calloused!! he's a paladin, a sword and board paladin, who he does a looooot of sword fighting, training, hefting a shield around, weapons and armour maintenance. they're calloused and strong hands, always steady and never trembling even when he's grabbing his own throat to lay on hands.

💼 ㅤwhat do they always carry with them?: his longsword, his mentor's sword which was given to him. his shield. a small signet ring with their order's seal. a leather necklace with the order seal medallion hanging from it that he keeps wrapped around the hilt of the longsword.

🌒 do they have a dream or goal they have given up on?: seeing eckart again. being welcomed back into the order. sometimes, niko thinks he's given up on ever being truly happy.

🕯️ what memory do they replay when they’re alone?: the night eckart gave them the sword. the crackling fire, the slightly cool breeze. the pride in eckart's voice as he tells niko that he thinks they're ready to head out on their own. the way their hands were so steady even as his heart was trying to beat out of his throat while he took the sword. it's a comfort, to them, as a tiefling in this world where tieflings are reviled and only about five exist total, knowing that this half-elf man loved them like they were his own child when niko's parents gave him up as an incredibly young child.

🌀 do they have a recurring dream or nightmare?: oh he has many recurring dreams and nightmares! most of his dreams are of his childhood, his siblings and parents. his life before he got sucked into the fey wild. they're all very idyllic and peaceful. his nightmares are...vivid. from his time in the fey wild. the one that happens most often is of mudskipper (the satyr who, uh, "raised" him) chasing him through the forest cackling in the trees, ten times his size and big enough to step on brontes to squish him.

he actually had a dream in the session today omg. it was a dream of his older brother, older than he's ever seen him with crows feet and laughter lines and bits of grey hair.

🦇 what is a fear they never talk about?: dying before he manages to find his family again. it's been so long, he's terrified of forgetting their faces and voices and dying without seeing them again.

💭 do they believe they’re worthy of being loved?: he does!! he has a husband, a lovely wood elf man named jiahao who he's been with for about a decade now. brontes has always thought he was worthy of being loved honestly, he's never done anything he'd think would make someone not love him.

🧩 what’s a truth about themselves they refuse to admit?: oooooo hmmmm. probably that he'd really like to be a father. he can't think about it, can't admit that to himself, because then he'll want it and he's scared if he wants it too much, everything will fall apart.
