7 ⧽. is there a fic you wish you received feedback on, but didn't get any/much? this ask game is asking someone else to then give feedback on said fic, pretty pretty please!!!

I meeeeeean oh god, usually I blush at the idea of outright asking people to read my stuff, especially since there is the possibility of it containing things that the people I like and want to impress might find... disturbing? Disgusting? But I did spend a bit of time and thought on "The Spaceship and His Boy" if my Absolute Superman followers would like to give that one a go. Obligatory mention of "Ategnatos" here even if I'm not happy with it for the bg3 crowd

10 ⧽. what genre is generally the easiest or most enjoyable for you to write? which is the hardest?

Whump and deathfic are the easiest for me to write! Which is very ironic because those are not the type of fics that I gravitate to as a reader. I'm a big softie, actually...... I like to feel deep things DUH but I'm such a soft mushy guy......... that being said, I can't write soft mushy fics to save my life 😂 pain and suffering only!!!

18 ⧽. how do you want your writing to feel to your readers?

Readable, mostly! I'm very afraid of not making sense when I write. Especially because I like to insert a lot of inside jokes, symbolism only I understand, etc. I'm also afraid of being boring.... and I have this weird tendency to chameleon whoever I'm reading at the time, so I feel like my style changes a lot? It's completely unintentional I swear. I'm beating around the bush because I don't actually know how I want my writing to feel :) I want it to feel good, I guess. LOL.

Hello, bu :3 I was wondering, and it is a great time to ask in the context of asks for fic writers: when you write about Dammon in the Hells, what compels you? Is it your favorite setting for him? What do you want to convey through it? :))

Thank you so much @wasteful-sam for the Ask about Dammon in Avernus. 🥺💜 I'm sorry it has taken me a few days to respond.

What compels me to write Fire, Ash and Metal is derived from a few different ideas, thoughts and emotions (in no order):

I love Dammon. He's sweet and cares about helping others. He is hardworking, creative and intelligent. I feel there is more to him than what we see in Baldur's Gate 3 too.

I love The Nine Hells, which l'm not surprised because different kinds of hells intrigue me from a story standpoint not a religious one. The Nine Hells in DnD is so intricate. It's fascinating how everything is detailed along with the lore behind it all.

I love prequels, especially after a main story is told and I get to find out how it all began. How did we get from A to B? What influences and decisions made this all happen? How did that path happen and why? How did it affect everyone?

I want to tell Dammon's story. I feel something so profound that happened to him should be told.

I'm a storyteller and it gives me a chance to work with a character that doesn't have a lot of history already told in a world I love. It lets me bridge that gap between the Descent Into Avernus campaign and Baldur's Gate 3.

I enjoy horror stories and this is my first time writing one that I publicly share.

Is it your favorite setting for him?

I think Avernus and Baator is a good setting in general, at least for me. There is a ton to work with and create. I can make my own lore and use existing lore to make it all flow together. If I ever get the chance, I would love to write separate fics in the same AU that tell Rolan's, Zevlor's and Mol's point of views.

Though, you might could say Baator is my favorite setting for Dammon considering the third fic in the Hammers and Swords series him and Rosa go back to Baator.

What do you want to convey through it?

I want to convey an exciting and interesting horror story about a laid back character thrust into unimaginable circumstances and survives. A character who isn't a typical main character, only in the story I'm writing. A character who isn't a hero. A character that in some ways others might be able to relate to them. I want to convey Dammon's journey, struggles and accomplishments along the way.

Letters from Rolan: The Apprenticeship (Part 2) is letters Rolan writes to his siblings, Cal and Lia, during the same time period as the ones he wrote to Tav in Part 1. It's done the same way as a 10x100 drabble.

They are for Why Would You July To Me? prompt. It has to do with lying and deception. Though, I'm only going with Rolan lying to his siblings and himself in these letters. I HC he would lie to them because he believes things will eventually get better. Also, because to him it would keep them from knowing what really is going on, to keep them safe and so they don't see him as a failure. He isn't lying to be malice or underhanded. He wants his siblings to still see him as a success and give them everything he promised, a new better life in Baldur's Gate. He thinks he can still do that somehow and doesn't want them to worry about him.

Dearest Siblings,

I'm truly sorry that you couldn't journey with me into the city. Master Lorroakan regrettably didn't have the room.

I know what I said at Last Light Inn, and you both are not far from me. We are practically in the same city. This is a mere inconvenience.

Not to fret, everything will turn out accordingly. You will see soon enough all our dreams and planning will come to fruition. Everything will be fine.
