Wataneko/Cottomew/Beta Jumpluff

I like how, after redesigning the Hoppip family from catblobs to the usual floaty blobs we know, they only changed a single syllable in their japanese names to make them less feline. Haneko -> Hanekko, Poponeko -> Popokko, and Wataneko -> Watakko. That’s so relatable. Anyway, I gotta say I vastly prefer final Jumpluff design over this. The dandelion puffs just look so much nicer than this kind of awkward cotton crown. Good thing the Cottonee family did the cotton aesthetic better later on.

Again, nothing new but I love them. I wish they weren’t grass/flying tho, I wanna treat them as regional variants of the Jumpluff line.

Haneko looks like a dark or ghost type but that’s just the unfinished look and the bad colors talking. Though the others also have sort of a ghosty vibe because of the lack of legs...

I’m gonna end up headcanoning them as ghost somehow.

Whoops only just got my machine back from getting serviced and I've done a thing 😅 I took some liberties with the colours, all the art I've seen is fully pink but I thought this might be a bit less samey. Too late for proper pics now, I'll do them tomorrow and yes it'll be for sale~🍃
