Texting each other 24/7 about Kousei--if he’s sleeping, whether he’s eating properly, did you see that he wasn’t wearing a coat this morning even though it’s chilly???
Speaking of Kousei, you know they make a huge deal of plotting what to get him for his birthday every year
When Kousei and Tsubaki argue over meaningless things, Watari puts in a good word for her with Kousei and vice versa. Usually he can convince them to stop being dumb and apologize in a day or two
Roasting each other constantly but it’s always in good fun
If anyone makes a rude comment about Tsubaki when she’s not around, Watari is the first to put them in a headlock (in his mind, he’s doing them a favor--if Tsubaki found out, she’d have done much worse)
For the first year after Kaori dies, they can’t really bring her up to Kousei. It seems like they’re the only two people in the world who can understand how complicated their feelings about Kaori are...they loved her, they miss her, but they also feel hurt by her selfish actions. It’s nice to know they both feel this way.
