extraordinary attorney woo and spiky skill profiles!! autistic people often vary drastically with their ability to complete certain basic tasks or learn skills. young-woo is an incredible lawyer but can't make food for herself and struggles to open bottle caps. she has a nearly perfect memory but struggles with motor skills. she can empathize greatly with her clients but not be able to tell when they're lying. she can present her cases in an eloquent manner but still can't tell when it's her time to speak.
a lot of us get our disability invalidated because there's something we're good at, but having a skill we excel in doesn't negate our struggles with everything else. i love how young-woo is allowed to be a full, nuanced person with her own strengths and weaknesses. we all have different skills, but autistic people vary even more drastically in their abilities from skill to skill. i hope more people who watched EAW learn about spiky skill sets, since they're so common in autistic people ^^
Just watched the first 2 episodes on apple tv and holy shit this is amazing, hope to see more in the future
