Go ahead, list off all the reasons representation is important from a political & social stand point, but let me drop this from a writer's stand point:
Diverse writing is good writing. Diverse writing is more interesting, and offers more nuance than anything a straight white story can offer on it's own
Trickster on cbc offers up legends that many people are less familiar with, making it far less predictable than a story based in Greek or Norse mythos.
Lucifer's portrayal of women as strong individuals, from wildly different backgrounds, adds more depth to the story and their relationships
The Magicians, while fucking it all up at the end of season 4, had a well handled ensemble cast, and utilized their histories and talents well, especially considering how unapologetic the character of Margo was as a woc, and how open characters got to be about their mental illness and trauma
Diversity is good for storytelling, in addition to it's importance in political and social circles, so haul ass and learn to write more diverse stories
