Tagged by @serenbach86 to make some of my OCs in this height comparison chart. Thanks!
We have (with feet because I’m American, sorry):
Belle Charbonneau, elezen, Final Fantasy XIV: 192.5 cm / 6′4″
Lillian Veres, human, Pillars of Eternity: 185.4 cm / 6′1″
Calendula Qantu, human, Pillars of Eternity: 172.7 cm / 5′8″
Adia Rih, tiefling, Pathfinder: Kingmaker: 167.6 cm / 5′6″
Hazel Bramble, orlan, Pillars of Eternity: 101.6 cm / 3′4″
Lorraine Summerglen, halfling, Pathfinder: WotR: 88.9 cm / 2′11″
I've been working on a playlist for Jessamine, and flipping through my Watcher playlists, most of them have an leaning towards an artist or even specific album.
Lillian's is The Indigo Girls, and honestly sometimes I just listen straight to Restrospective for Lillian vibes.
Amaryllis is Brandi Carlile, specifically The Firewatcher's Daughter.
Hazel is pretty mixed, but has a slight leaning to Brandi Carlile, Bear Creek.
Cal is also pretty mixed, but with a slight preference to Natalie Merchant and Sarah McLachlan.
And then there's Jessamine, whose leading artist is Stevie Nicks.
15 lines of dialogue
Rules: Share 15 or fewer lines of dialogue from an OC, ideally lines that capture the character/personality/vibe of the OC. Bonus points for just using the dialogue without other details about the scene, but you're free to include those as well!
I was tagged by @arendaes and @dragonologist-phd. Thank you!
For this one, I'm going back to my roots with Watcher Hazel Bramble of Pillars of Eternity.
“Don’t you mean Twenty-one and a half?”
“I can’t promise that. You said it yourself; I have a habit of getting involved.”
“I’ve killed a lot of people in my life. Too many people, probably. And it’s not true of every job, but most of the time I try to tell myself the world is a better place without those scumbags in it. The world is a better place now without Raedric, Edér. Even if it was too late for too many people, it wasn’t too late for everyone.”
“I’m sure we can find some Hel to raise.”
“Look, Edér was going to get hanged if he stuck around that town much longer. Okay, Aloth didn’t really have anywhere else to go. But Kana’s here because he’s interested in our murder basement. There was this priest guy that wanted to follow me around and insult me, but I turned him down.”
“Trying isn’t good enough.”
“I’m just having some trouble sleeping. I didn’t suddenly turn into some delicate flower.”
“I know Hollis has a right to be angry, I just… I just want us to be able to start over with the past behind us.”
“My standards lean more toward morality than legality […] They ask us to do in some people, we’re out of here. Ask us to crawl around some forbidden ruins, no one’s getting hurt and we get paid.”
“Oh, and apparently Dunryd Row is mostly orlan ciphers, a fact one of the Justicars was none too happy about. The horror. Said to my face that orlans are all too violent and need to be kept under observation. Can you imagine? Orlans just doing their jobs and living their lives?”
“I don’t feel more whole […] I feel like I’m losing my mind.”
“Hey, we’ll start a club […] It’ll be a really exclusive club and we’ll drink wine and eat fancy cheese as we slowly lose our minds.”
“At least if they’re going to dip into forbidden knowledge, they should be better at it.”
“If nothing else, at least the Leaden Key is sketchy as Hel and whatever they’re up to, I don’t like it.”
“You’re not the only one who can deflect personal questions.”
I'm tagging @sayonaramidnight, @orime-stories, @risualto, @shimmer-like-agirl, @adozentothedawn, and anyone else who would like to!
Hazel turned out so cute, I did all the Bramble family in this picrew!
Hazel (fighter), Heather (priest), Hollis (cipher), Hyacinth (wizard), and Honeysuckle (ranger).
Tagged by @dragonologist-phd to make some of my characters in this picrew! Thanks, it's really cozy!
Decided to do some characters who haven't gotten very much attention in a while, so here's Hazel the orlan fighter from Pillars of Eternity and Ruby the halfling rogue from my brother and my's game of Solasta: Crown of the Magister!
Tagging (no pressure): @orime-stories, @shimmer-like-agirl, @queen-scribbles, @haledamage, and whoever else wants to!
Having Pillars of Eternity feelings again but without the energy to create real content or play the games, so here are some of my Watchers in this picrew.
We have Calendula (savannah folk Priest/Paladin of Berath), Lillian (meadow folk Ranger), Hazel (hearth orlan Fighter), and Amaryllis (pale elf Cypher/Monk).
11. First hug for one of your Pillars characters, please!
Hazel bounced up and down. “Mom, can I hold him? Can I hold him? Can I hold him?” She was six years old and practically grown up and should therefore absolutely be entrusted with holding babies.
Her mother stared off into the distance with sleepless eyes, rocking the baby Hollis. He was already quieter than Heather, from what Hazel could remember. “Just a moment, Hazel.”
Heather stared down her nose at the baby. “When can we put him in the garbage?”
“Heather! He’s your brother!”
“Pleeeease, Mom?” whined Hazel.
“Alright, Hazel. Come here.”
Hazel scampered over to her mother’s rocking chair.
“Alright, be careful. Support his head. Don’t drop him.”
He was heavier than Hazel expected, but she diligently followed her mother’s instructions. “Hello, there,” she gave him a small squeeze. “Welcome to the family.”
