My Personal Watcher AU

ELLO! I have this whole WatcherAU in my head and I need to lore dump so here we go!!

This is based off of Martyn's Eyes and Ears AU

I was thinking of my AU being applicable for more Minecraft communities. Yes, the main setting is the Life Series, but how the power-scaling and magical god-like beings work should be applicable for any Minecraft character.

I have a sorta "hierarchy" for the Cosmics, which I've decided to call the beings with universal powers.

The Supreme Watchers

The Listeners

The Watchers

The Rogues

The Devoid

The High Watchers

The Supreme Watchers (who sometimes just go by Supremes) are the most powerful Cosmics. They are the main Watchers in the Life Series. All Watchers feed off of negative emotions (anger, pain, grief, sadness, etc.), but the Supremes need MORE, which is why the Life Series was created. There are 3 Supremes, and they have the ability to destroy and create worlds and universes. They cannot, however, enter those universes.

The Listeners

The Listeners are underneath the Supreme Watchers in power. Although they don't have the ability to create or destroy worlds and universes, they can easily enter them, even without permission.

The Listeners feed off of neutral emotions and actions, which are emotions and actions that can be seen as good or bad, depending on how they are done (killing, lying, obedience, pride, love) Sometimes Love can be good, but other times it's obsessive. Murder can be good when it's done for a good cause, other times it's just pure evil. I hope that makes sense lol.

There are around 20 Listeners, including Martyn.

The Watchers

The normal Watchers are less powerful than the Listeners. These are the Watchers we know well. Most Watchers are unable to freely enter different universes, but they can freely watch and interact with them. Just like the Supremes, they feed off of negative emotions, but at a smaller scale. These are the Watchers you'll see in other universes outside of the Life Series.

There are around 75 Watchers, including Grian, Herobrine (LMAO) and the Secret Keeper.

The Rogues

The Rogues are like the "protists" of the Cosmics. They have the largest range of power, with some individuals being able to freely enter worlds and others only catching glimpses of other universes. These people are your Admins and universe-hoppers, etc. Some Rogues might not even know they are Rogues.

About 100 people KNOW that they are Rogues, including Pearl, Gem, Xisumavoid, Kenadian, the random-ass Admin guy from Minecraft Story Mode, and BBH. (Yes, we are really reaching through Minecraft Content Creators, no one is safe.) Many more do not know, such as JoeHills, Skizz, and Scott.

The Devoid (see what I did there)

These are your normal people, your Average Joes. Animal hybrids, humans, etc. No cosmic powers.

Some include BigB, Jimmy, Taurtis, Tommyinnit, Impulse, Shelby and many more.

People have the ability to gain cosmic abilities, whether that's becoming a Watcher or Listener, or getting bit by a radioactive spider or something. People can also lose cosmic abilities, which is less common. There are many ways someone could lose their cosmic abilities, but the main reason is by said abilities getting revoked by the Supremes.

The War

The Watchers and Listeners hate each other, so why not fight each other? The main conflict is between the Watchers and Listeners, and their battle ground is the Life Series. While the events of the Life Series are going on the Watchers and Listeners are trying to fuck each other up by using the players as pawns. Neither of them really care about the players, just how much they could ruin each others' lives.

The Evo-Lifers and the Winners eventually get really involved in the war. They start picking sides, everything goes to shit, angst and suffering, you know, it's routine at this point.

How I came up with Pearl's watcher name

It's quite simple, really. Pearl=oyster oysters are in the sea, what is another magical creature that lives in the sea? Mermaids. What is a version of mermaids that are seen in a darker light? Sirens. What is a different way to spell siren? Cyren. this is what my brain does instead of letting me sleep.

My Personal Watcher AU Part 2

Part 1 Here

Ello! In part two of my Watcher AU I will be talking about Grian!!

Grian's Backstory

Grian is a regular Watcher who was politely forced into being on after the end fight in Evo.

Grian's time in the Watchers' realm was full of the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. Grian eventually became a really powerful Watcher, made some acquaintances, and even coined the idea of a Deathmatch game, but Watchers left no room for error, and Grian was punished severely for not following directions perfectly, and he hated the idea of only being able to Watch.

What pushed Grian over the edge was finding his best friend, Taurtis in the Watcher Realm, and not in good condition.

Now we are going to take a step back and quickly explain the Watchers in Evo. The main Watchers in Evo were the Supremes. The Evolutionists saw the Supremes as neutral friends, but that was never the case. The Supremes were always using the Evolutionists, and the Evos were completely unaware of it until the Listeners came along.

Taurtis figured out that the Watchers are not what they seemed, but before he could tell the other Evolutionists, he was taken to the Watcher Realm. The Evolutionists assumed he died somewhere, but they couldn't find his body.

And Taurtis did NOT have a great time in the Watcher Realm (this is my nice way of saying they tortured him).

So Grian finds his BFF chained up in the deepest, darkest pits of the Watcher Realm. Seeing this, Grian finally snapped, attempting to escape with Taurtis and burning down the Watcher Cathedral.

The escape didn't go as planned, though.

And then Grian lands in Hermitcraft, and Xisuma decides to accept him as a hermit.

The Life Series

Grian was the one who coined the Life Series. As a Watcher, Grian made plans for a silly little death game for the Watchers to feed on. The Watchers, finding these plans, decided to make it a reality, but make it a little more gruesome than Grian originally intended.

After finding out that his friends were put in a death game of his own creation, he tries to do everything in his power to stop it, and save his friends from a constant cycle of betrayal, death, and chaos.

And that's Grian's journey throught the Life Series.

His Relationship With The Watchers

Grian and the Supremes never fully got along. While the Supremes saw a huge amount of potential in him, they never enjoyed his rebellious tendencies.

After Grian left, this indifference turned into pure hatred. The Supremes hated him, and would do everything in their power to make him suffer, but at the same time, they want him to join them again. (More on this later) Grian also hated the Supremes, and wants to see everything they created burn.

Grian never got to interact with many of the normal Watchers, because he spent so much time training, and he didn't know of the Listeners' existence until Limited Life.

Grian is two persons: his regular self and his Watcher-self. His Watcher-self is what causes him so much Grief. His chaotic, murderous, and untrustworthy actions are a result of his Watcher-self needing to feed, and Grian absolutely hated that.

Grian hated that he always ended up betraying his friends, killing his closest allies, and wreaking havoc across the server, and so hated his Watcher-self. (Yay! Internalized Conflict!)

How could Grian save his friends if he keeps killing them?

Watcher AU Profile: Cleo

Name: Cleo Gaslight

WGN*: None

Description: They have limbs that are attached with stitches that turned purple when they were turned. They have dark purple eyes, and in their hair, where the flowers on their flower crown used to be, there are eyes there instead. Instead of getting 2 pairs of wings, Cleo actually got an extra pair of arms and one pair of wings. Their wings are kinda fleshy (Think similar to Uzi's wings from murder drones). When not in their watcher form, they are spotted wearing neon, eyescorching clothes with a 90's vibe. Anywhere they may have an injury, the muscle changed to a dark, void-like color with sparkles.

Watcher AU Profile: Pearl

Name: Pearl Flightwatcher

WGN*: Cyren, Our Pearl

Description: 3 pairs of feathered wings that are white with a purple snowy owl pattern, 2 pairs of aural wings that are the same. She has blue-ish purple eyes and when she is upset they turn more pinkish-purple. She can shapeshift into a wolf, and in wolf form she has a purple collar. When she is not in her watcher form she is observed to be wearing either a dark blue or red hoodie.
