Ok, so they are going with “all people from another worlds are technically a djinn” explanation? Does it make it less offensive to the Muslim community, though? I mean, this is just in story explanation. And in story, explanations are always seen as excused to the meta message that is sent. I cannot judge it myself as I am not part of this culture and I have no say, but I will link here someone who can.
