About Hydrowverse
HydrowVerse, founded by Thomas David Tency and Dr. Sachin Chaudhari at IIIT Hyderabad, is dedicated to revolutionizing water resource management with innovative, non-intrusive technology. Our research-based startup provides comprehensive water intelligence solutions, focusing on seamless and efficient monitoring of tanks, borewells, water meters, and rivers without direct contact. We empower individuals and organizations with insights to manage water sustainably, inviting you to join our journey towards smarter water management.
Mission
Optimize water infrastructure operations while transforming it into a smarter, more efficient system. Enhance water management education to foster knowledge and innovation.
Vision
Our vision is to establish ourselves as a prominent brand in the field of water intelligence, providing comprehensive and end-to-end solutions for all facets of water management. We are committed to integrating Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to develop innovative monitoring and management tools. Additionally, we will offer educational services that empower stakeholders at all levels to make informed decisions regarding water resources.
HydrowVerse innovates water management with Starr, an IoT-enabled device that accurately estimates water levels in overhead and underground tanks up to 5 meters deep. Starr ensures safety and reliability by avoiding sensor contact with water. Real-time updates help organizations track water levels, prevent overflows, and manage resources effectively. Built-in tank leakage detection enables proactive maintenance to minimize water loss. Starr enhances WaterAid’s water storage and distribution efforts, leading to smarter, data-driven management for a sustainable future. Together, we ensure every drop is measured and conserved.
Our real-time dashboard is meticulously designed to provide a comprehensive overview of water resource management by integrating data from all connected devices into a user-friendly interface. This centralized platform presents key metrics and performance indicators, enabling users to monitor water usage, identify anomalies, and discern trends at a glance.
In addition to real-time data visualization, our dashboard incorporates predictive maintenance tools that analyze historical data to forecast potential issues before they escalate. This proactive approach facilitates timely interventions, minimizing downtime and associated maintenance costs.
Furthermore, the dashboard encompasses water pressure estimation capabilities, offering critical insights into system performance and ensuring optimal water distribution.
Collectively, these features empower users to make informed decisions, optimize operational efficiency, and safeguard the integrity of their water infrastructure.
Our solutions are easily adopted, seamlessly integrating with organizations of all sizes. They’re cost-effective, reducing water loss and operational costs. Real-time updates allow users to monitor water resources and address issues promptly. Our technology is scalable, growing with your needs and maintaining optimal efficiency as your infrastructure expands.

Why Outdated Water Technology Isn’t the Solution Anymore
As with every industry, technology and scientific breakthroughs are allowing the water treatment industry to learn more and more about treating water with a higher level of efficiency and safety. So why are so many companies within the industry still producing the same old water systems using outdated technology that has been proven not only inefficient, but downright dangerous?
For example, traditional water softeners still require backwashing of the briny solution that results from the RO process. WHY? Research has shown that this backwash adversely affects the aquifers, increases the demand on water treatment plants making their systems less efficient, and reduces the amount of water that can be reclaimed for irrigation and other uses?
Most systems are still relying on chlorine to treat for bacteria, virus and animal waste, knowing full well the negative affects chlorine has on the human body. WHY? Study after study has shown that chlorine vapors inhaled from dishwashers and while showering in chlorinated water can potentially cause cancer, tooth enamel erosion, candida, and dementia over time. And almost everyone has experienced the immediate effects of chlorine which include dry skin, increased thirst, dandruff, and even asthmatic symptoms.
So what is the hold up in bringing to the public the innovative, safe technologies that provide safe, treated water without producing waste or introducing harmful substances into the environment, and that don’t rely on harmful chemicals? Well, the simple answer is lack of public education on these issues. There is really no where to point the finger specifically except to say that we, individuals, must begin to take our health and the health of our planet into our own hands, and make choices that allow us to remain healthy, safe, and keep our environment safe for the generations that will follow us.
I am committed to providing clean, safe, treated water to everyone on this planet. Our systems can provide mineral rich water that is still treated for scale, bacteria, virus, pharmaceuticals, DNA, chlorine, and harmful substances while producing no waste, requiring no backwash, producing no harmful brine, and using no electricity. I will continue to attempt to provide educational posts, information and research as we all move forward on this journey of discovery that we CAN have safe clean water without sacrificing our health or the health of our planet. Learn more about the technologies behind WaterCrest at www.hanishwater.com and help me spread the word that there ARE alternatives to outdated, wasteful, harmful water treatment technologies.
More Public Education Needed on Eco-Friendly Water Treatment Systems
With more and more communities around the nation following California’s lead in banning new installations of water softeners which discharge harmful brine into sewer lines and drainage fields, there is new technology arising which could end the controversy. While this is a very pressing issue, the real problem is that many people don’t know about salt free systems, even though the technology is available, affordable, and very effective.
Watchdog agencies following these issues have begun to sound the alarm as the levels of sodium and chloride content flushed into drainage fields and systems rises, increasing treatment costs and reducing the potential reuse of wastewater for farming and industrial applications. According to a North Dakota State University study, funded by the USDA, “When softener salt discharges into sanitary sewers, it makes water treatment more difficult. Flushed into septic tanks, it adds salinity to aquifers already threatened by seawater intrusion. Used to irrigate, it compacts soil and stresses vegetation.”
At Hanish Water, we’ve utilized NASA derived technology to create an innovative efficient system which treats water for the problems associated with hardness and scaling, while leaving the essential minerals behind. The system uses no salt, requires no backwash, and uses no electricity in the treatment process, reducing carbon footprint and waste. Rather than pulling the minerals from the water, the hardness ions are neutralized, eliminating the need for salt and the potential to backwash brine into the environment. By neutralizing them, essential minerals remain in the water, but will not affect the hard surfaces they come in contact with. These systems also treat water for particulates, viruses, bacteria, chemicals, and scaling using no salt or chemicals, and wasting no water, eliminating the problem of contamination into municipal drainage and groundwater.
With more public education on water safety, water quality, protecting water resources, and conserving water, we are committed to not only increase public awareness on the issue, but provide technologies which allow people to be confident about the safety of their water, without creating adverse effects on the environment around them.
