First time for everything. I am a painter, but a total noob to oils. These Turner Berlin water-mixable oil paints arrived today. I just played around with them a little this evening because I know exacly zero about using oils. I picked up regular oil paints from a Facebook marketplace ad but haven't used those yet because I didn't want to use turpenoid products. However, a week ago, @jerrysartarama had a special on a sampler of @ccsfineartmaterials' lavender spike oil alternatives to terpenoids and other mediums for oils. First #landscape with #watermixableoils. I’ve learned a lot about what not to do. Probably equal to or even more important than learning what TO DO. Lines are messy, some colors are muddy and it doesn’t really resemble the actual place I was depicting, but that’s ok. There’s a pretty big learning curve when you normally work in acrylics.
