Hakoda shook his head, turning the woman onto her front and hiking up her amauti to grab for the hem of her pants, "No, something better."
"But what’s better than blood, pain, and sharp rocks, Hakoda?"
Hakoda thought for a moment before darting in to press a kiss to his wife's neck. "I know something I like a lot more..."
"….Blood?" The magic that was casted on her still affected her thoughts. "….The sharp rock?"
"You said I should try it..." The man pushed her onto her back, forcing her shoulders to the ground and working to press her arm flat against the pelts.
On the ground, she laughed quietly. “That hurts," she chuckled. She sounded psychotic for this moment. The magic the Grayface put on her made her like he pain for no absolute reason. Her blood stained the ground, the dirt on her arm. “Ok, Hakoda, go try it. It feels good, don’t worry."
Hakoda wasn't a perfect man, but no one called him stupid. Quickly, the chief grabbed her wrist and started to try and wrestle the blade away from her.
"Hakoda! Stop!" She wrestled to take back her wrist and sharp rock away from him. “I like this! Stop!" As she fought back, more blood shot out, finally dripping onto the ground.
"Kya ... What are you doing?!"
"Hakoda…I have no idea why I’m doing this, but somehow.." she twirled her wrist around, stretching her arm. “This feels…good..Hakoda, my love, you should try this.." She poked at the slit on her arm.

There wasn't anything he could do to help. He was gone. What would he tell Sokka and Katara? There was an accident and..your father. He's gone. No, that sounded stupid. He would just have to tell the truth, whether they liked it or not.
"I'm sorry, Hakoda. I did my best to prevent what happened," he whispered, lowering his head. "I'll make sure your kids are safe. I won't let this happen to anyone. Ever."
