Local Hero (1983)
director: Bill Forsyth
My picks for the Best 5 Films of 1983. The forty-first of many randomly selected years to come. Previous year highlighted was 1970. This project is so much 🤩 fun! I plan on doing every year back to 1921.)
watching Local Hero and I can see why Peter Bowker said David Tennant reminded him of a young Peter Capaldi
Escultura "Segovia a Juan Bravo, 1921," 2016.
Juan Bravo - great name for a military leader - born of middling aristocracy and originally a soldier, was commemorated by his adoptive city as a rebel fighting the usurpation of local power by the royalty and aristocracy of Castilla. He was beheaded for treason on 24 April 1521.
i was beholding this one german game show called local hero once, where german celebrities basically engage in traditional activities of a location they're in for prize money, and saw that edin was on the show with another actor called ken duken for a couple of episodes
i rewatched the episode where edin and ken make haggis in scotland and i did not recall how many times edin was sniffing things in this segment whilst ken like a stereotypical german immediately asked for a scale to measure his ingredients (go watch the episode which i have linked below to see who wins, no english subtitles but they do speak a bit of english)
classical german: using a scale
the unpatched goated bosnian method of smelling the amount and ingredient to use:
yes i got 11 pictures of edin sniffing stuff, i could have added every shot of him smelling stuff but i didn't
AH YEAH WARNING FOR BLOOD AND STUFF BC THEY SHOW THEM PROCESSING THE LAMB OFFAL FOR THE HAGGIS MEAT (SKIP FROM 3:38 to 5:30 EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE BREAKS IN BETWEEN)
me and the other two people in the local hero fandom
