Stitching in Jaisalmer, the golden city. After a day of pedal power stitching in the city I found that it was only men jumping on the 'pedal power' to help me create the stitch. So for International Women's day, I went and sat with the ladies who fiercely sell their jewellery to passing tourists. I took a motor bike battery, rather than the pedal power, and stitched the women. They welcomed me in and fed me Chai, it was nice to work with them. At the end of the day I got Chai and snacks and we all ate together. It was nice to be a friend rather than being at the end of their sales pitch. The work i create will be exhibited in Watlington for Oxfordshire open artweeks 11th - 19th May.
