You smiled at the camera, studio lights blasting in your face as you dug your hand around in the box provided to you.
“Call Prohero Dynamight and tell him your getting married next week”
Taking a deep breath you accepted what you just read, slowly nodding as you mentally prepared yourself.
Someone off screen handed you your phone, the mic picking up the low ringing as the studio waited in anticipation.
*click*
“I’m on patrol, speak.”
The gruff voice of the explosion hero echoed around the room.
“Heyyy, are you busy at the moment.” You responded, smiling at the phone while waiting for him to speak.
“Not at the moment but that could change knowing how the night usually goes.” Came his rough voice, the sound of shuffling can be heard as he adjusted the phone to his ear.
“Why what’s up.” He asked.
You bit your nail before you spoke, something you didn’t realize you did when you were nervous.
“I just had some exciting news to share.” You paused to dramatic effect.
“I’m getting married and wanted to ask if you’d like to come?” You breathed out, trying to sound excited about the fake news.
A heavy silence filled the space, the workers behind the scenes waiting for a reaction out of Bakugo.
“Are you calling the right person?” Came the confused voice.
You double checked your phone just for proof. “This is Bakugo Katsuki correct?” You hummed, nibbling on your thumb.
A soft grunt came through the phone. “Then why the hell are you inviting me to YOUR wedding.” He asked sounding already irritated with the call.
You giggled at his tone, knowing he was already contemplating hanging up on you.
“Because you’re like a really close friend and I want you to be there!” You smiled, finding enjoyment in this little white lie.
“Close friend?!?” Bakugo yelled, causing you to pull your phone away from the mic. “Are you good? You haven’t been drinking with the girls again have you?” He asked slowly, like he was making sure you understood everything.
“No! I haven’t touched a drink today. And what’s wrong with calling you my close friend?” You huffed dramatically, grinning at the sound of his misery.
“Babe I think you’ve gone brain dead in the short time I’ve been away.” Bakugo sighed, your eyes widening as you heard the nickname.
“Babe! I’m not your babe I’m getting married remember!” You tried to object, pushing the lie.
A choked laugh came from his end, “You were my babe last time I checked, which was earlier today when I called you during my lunch.” Bakugo revealed, “And unless I proposed to you, which I haven’t by the way. There is no way in hell you’re getting married.”
You bit your lip at his words, taking a small glance at the camera recording everything. Knowing you’re going to get an earful at home when the video gets released to the public.
I gotta ask, does Reader ever get the upper hand with guard dog Simon and Soap.😭 Or is it always a 2v1.
this answer got kinda long 💀
-> more here
I think majority of the time, it's Soap and Ghost teaming up against reader, but every once and awhile, it's Soap and reader against Ghost. Or in another situation, it's Soap against Ghost and reader.
For guard dog!Ghost, he respects the fact that Soap was in a relationship with you first, and he was the one to invite Ghost in, so he will follow Soap's lead in this. Yes, he is 'handled' and owned by you first and foremost, but I think if it comes down to it, if Soap needs/wants him to heel, Ghost will follow his cues and listen to him over you. It's nothing against you, but despite the fact you are his owner, Ghost sees Soap as the 'pack leader' in the relationship. He's willing to let you have control and follow your commands, but he also has fun testing your limits, especially if Soap encourages that push back.
It might be unpopular and uncommon, but in all these '2v1s' Soap is kinda the 'top dog' technically speaking, but he isn't as... pushy(?) about it as Ghost sometimes is. Or he is in the way that you can't really say no to him because of the way he phrases things/what he wants. He's clever about it, ig that's what I'm saying because while Soap takes on a secondary role when it comes to you handling Ghost, he also likes fanning the flames and encouraging those moments for Ghost to push back against you. also i like writing soap calling ghost a good boy and reader as the 'misbehaving' one.
Same thing for Soap encouraging you to have a firmer hand with Ghost, being that devil on your shoulder, because then he gets to enforce rules or pin Ghost down for you and make Ghost a good boy if he's being snappish. Soap likes to let you think you're in charge by having control over Ghost, and he does have fun with it too when he steps back or plays enforcer, until he wants to humble you a little and have Ghost act as his dog to play rough with you because he knows he's the one who truly holds Ghost's leash.
And I mentioned Soap against Ghost and reader, but that's more Soap being upset with you both and giving a punishment. Meanwhile, Ghost is willing to prove that he's a good boy so he can team up with Soap and use you as a chew toy again.
But maybe, in a rare occurrence (if I can be persuaded, but no promises bc i like the dynamic i have set up for them), it's Ghost and reader deciding to give Soap a taste of his own medicine just for once.
I probably won't write an actual fic but I want the idea out there
Imagine Bakugo in the future, top pro hero with kids. His kids know of his history, his brash attitude and aggressive nature. But he cools in a little when he started his family.
His kids (with his personality) probably joked and made fun of him in his youth and didn't believe he was as tough as he said he was, since he's kinda soft on his kids now.
So you bring out old video footage of the first sports festival when you and him were first years. The kids gobsmacked, jaws dropped.
Maybe he tries to tone his explosions down around them so they don't get hurt or have hearing damage. So they witness for the first time how much power he actually has.
Dude almost exploded most of his (now) friends, one of the them (his daughter maybe) would say something like, "Dad you almost killed aunt Uraraka!"
He'd might reply with, "I didn't kill her, the most it would've done was knock her unconscious."
This is my account so if it doesn't match my blog style or I don't like the request I won't do it.
I mainly write for Katsuki Bakugo, and mostly for female reader but I have some gender neutral works too. Specify if you'd like gender neutral in the request or I'll automatically write for female.
I don't tag people especially if they don't follow me so please don't ask.
Any 'criticism' or hate about my work or how I write for the character will be blocked without warning.
Mainly a fluff account with some angst to comfort sprinkled in but never hurt/no comfort.
You're Bakugo's secretary at his agency but you're always bossing him around, new employees think it's because you have been with him since he started, helped him build it from the ground up.
But in actually your his wife (act shocked) but neither you or Bakugo revealed it, it was actually another worker who's the second longest employee to work there other than you.
The song by Epic, "would you fall in love with me again" could be so Barbarian Bakugo coded
Like imagine he leaves for a hunt or over taking a kingdom/village for the first time since meeting and he comes back to you bloody, dead souls trailing behind.
He meets you at the edge of your village with a gift for you showing his love and victory asking if you'd still love him even if he's coated in death.
