One last look as I walk away, I take her in, for the last time. Raising a brow in question she hints as if to say, "Please don't come back to me, not anymore". A wave of her hand asking me to keep moving, my sigh follows each step into dying arms of the sun. Taking in her quivering lips, betraying her smile filled eyes, longing glimpses to last a lifetime. Love is not enough sometimes, holding on to a soul, buried to your core, unquenchable, intoxicating need. Drowning fast as passion clogs your lungs, brimming up, filling hollowed bones, emptying arteries of grief. Then, I am confined to a jar encircled by glass walls preventing me from fulfilling my calling to multiply and beautify my surroundings. I can forget about flourishing alongside my flowerkin. I am doomed to swiftly wither. Blue tears flow down my petals in utter discomfort. I am saddened by the imprisonment of a vagrant. I now know how he must feel to be restricted from migrating. He's no longer free to find his way to succeed and thrive through his life's journey.
