THINGS TO DO IN AUTUMN / always accepting memes *.

" light ! you're here early ! " how happily she jogs to him ; mindful of her unnatural speed and strength , even on the cusp of thirteen . she's clad in her favorite character , adorabbit , as accurately as possible . it was custom made for her , even ! between iris and miss sagan pitching in ; to finding the right materials , mizuki had procured even a cute bunny shaped carrier for treats ! ears adorned her head ; not a full body suit but an array of sleeves and a skirt with leggings all colored in the mascot's hues . to make sure her little ' bunny tail ' was visible ; date had finished the job by braiding her hair into two long pigtails that dangled over her shoulders .

" here ! feel my ears ! i think i look really cute ! sagan-sensei and iris and even the old man all pitched in ! isn't that crazy ? i bought the trick or treat bag online and it's all themed like adorabbit ! rabbits are just the best y' know ? and now adding my favorite mascot it's an even better rabbit ! ota said he was gonna have some treats at matsushita diner too ! so we can get some easy pickings there right off the bat ! " it saddened her a bit that a man who through being a fellow bearer of a bracelet in the nonary games, had become a brother to her , the best big brother , in fact , couldn't . . well, he couldn't see her.

but she didn't let it get her down for long ! it wasn't light's fault and the grade-schooler wouldn't change anything about him ! no if's and's or but's !

" can you feel some of my costume, ? here, hold my hand, it has this really comfy fabric and i have ears ! can you imagine it ? isn't it cute ? i'm looking pretty cute today ! i sure feel like it ! i debated going scary but i like to think dealing with date on his computer is enough of that duty ! " sweetly said without missing a beat ; despite hiding as ever , the love she shared for the senior date . yeah . . still getting used to mizuki date and not okiura . . . well , she didn't want to think about that.

okiura would always be a part of her , dead and buried, lost and never reclaimed .

" c'mon , c'mon !!!!! " mizuki chirps; briefly brushing her fingers against his to symbolize her presence . slowly focusing her excitement into control ; so that her grip was as gentle as possible . by the time the girl had reached for his hand , she allowed a small, rare, vulnerable little squeeze of hesitant joy. was . . . it okay to be happy ? did he really want to go with her on this , something he surely had done ages ago with clover ? was it okay to be happy about it ?

for once she shoved down the battle of deserve and unworthy ; unjustly ingrained in her within a short time after infancy . instead , she gripped his fingers, then his palm, then curled her small but powerful hand around his and lightly said , " gonna pull a bit , okay ? if you have any ideas light , i'm all in ! and er . . . "

a quiet pause ; awkward and hesitant . vulnerability was not a hill mizuki liked to die on . to show, to reveal anything beyond that steely resolve and fearlessness. yet here , she escaped that iron cocoon to murmur with no less joy :

" happy halloween light ! and . . thanks for wanting to go with me . "

I just feel like its worth mentioning that following you for the Illario takes and etc. is probably one of the best decisions I've made since I came into the Veilguard fandom after finishing the game. Seeing the depth of understanding you have for his character and sharing that with the world is a gift to my dash and I thank you for it!
