Some here seemed to like my post about Inquisitor Anders and Leliana, so I'm taking advantage of this opportunity to inform those that are interested that I am also currently writing a series of fanfictions about Anders as the Inquisitor.
"... The point is, everyone is or soon will be talking about you. Of the agents who managed to reach me yet, all have sent reports of troubling situations, witnesses of crisis and chaos. People are desperate for a sign of hope. For some here, you’re already that sign," she stated, and there it was again — this almost discreet note sourness in her tone.
"And to most others, a symbol of everything that’s gone wrong, that much is true," Josephine conceded with a quick sideways glance at Leliana, before her gaze went back to Anders. "Which is why we must present a united front against the wave of strong disapproval that is certain to come. You are called the Herald of Andraste. If we show for even an instant that we doubt this—If we fail to demonstrate that we believe in you, who else will? How could they take any of our claims seriously after that? This is the belief our entire operation now hinge on. If we are to succeed, our response on the matter must be unequivocal."
"What if there is another explanation for this?" Anders still contested, waving his hand meaningfully. It did not glow, the mark covered at the moment by a glove, but it was enough to make his point across. Or so he hoped anyway. "What then? Fake it 'till we make it? Is that truly our strategy? That discovery could instantly discredit us. All would claim that we lied."
A loud noise startled the room. All gazes shifted to Leliana who had irately smacked her hands on the table.
"We have to believe in you," the spymaster snapped harshly. "It doesn't matter whether we do it because of faith, of hope, or because of duty. The point is that we have no choice but to believe that you can close the Breach. You have to save us. An impossible task and yet, that is still the least you can do."
