Yuuup, surprisingly the two most “emotionless” decepticons have a pretty healthy relationship and love each other very much.

Shockwave struggles with emotions due to his empurata, they’re not completely gone but they are pretty muted. Imagine the feel of a paper texture, compared to trying to feel it through a glove, it’s just not the same. Most of the time any feeling for Shockwave is mild enough that he won’t even notice, or he might ignore it entirely. The one exception is Soundwave, he’s the only person (or thing) Shockwave has any strong feelings for, the cassettes become a close second.
