Cheryl ~ Day 92
What is right, right now? So today didn’t go according to plan. I had a long list of things I was going to get done and made no progress at all. However, I did get to spend some great time with my daughter. I enjoyed an afternoon out at the movies watching “Hop” and realizing you are never too old to enjoy a kid’s film. As the day comes to a close and I look at my list of things I have to take care of tomorrow, I remind myself of our commitment to the thought what is right, right now. I am healthy, my daughter and family are healthy. I am had a great day with my daughter and when I realize we only have 5 months until she is off at college full time, then today was a day well spent. We all set our priorities and then spend our now moments wishing we had stuck to it. Then tomorrow we realize the worry produced no positive results so we end up wasting time on that as well. Right now in this moment, I am grateful, happy, loved and hopeful. I will focus on what is right, right now.
“Life ends when you stop dreaming, hope ends when you stop believing, love ends when you stop caring, friendship ends when you stop sharing... so share this with whom ever you consider a friend.” ~ Unknown
Cheryl - Day 39
Hello Followers this is Cheryl's daughter Cassie, today I will be blogging for her, I know y'all feel so lucky. Today my mother and I had a tiff, though I am ALWAYS right as we all know. My mom and I realized how dumb it was, and how big of a deal we were making the situation. The thing I've always loved about us is that we can have a good laugh, and that's what we did, laughed. Its amazing what a good laugh can do, and it works in all situations. So make sure you get a good laugh in today no matter the situation.....
Cheryl ~ Day 303; 62 to Go
Today my daughter had the sad realization that she is to old to trick or treat. As a senior in high school she spent the last couple weeks looking foward to her last outing in our neighborhood. After visiting a couple houses, her and her friends returned home sad that when the doors were opened at the houses they went to they weren't greeted with the typical oh how cute response. Life moves whether we are ready or not. And I only hope that tonight and the feeling she had stays with her as a reminder to appreciate the moments your in while they are there, rather than always looking to the future. As this chapter of their life comes to a close it is a minor introduction to what is ahead. I'm grateful to have been there in this moment and chapter of her life.
Cheryl ~ Day 300; 65 to Go
We all understand how it feels to have a misunderstanding. We are trying to accomplish something and the next thing we know someone is snapping at us and we are caught feeling as if we are being totally dis-respected. We have a choice to pretend everything is okay or we can talk it out. The point here is to ask yourself is this person in your life on a regular basis? If they are then you might decide to approach it in a way that allows them to understand where you are coming from without them feeling they are being attacked. We all have the right to be respected and at the same point we must also be respectful. It is amazing how we feel as if we are being disrespected we then have the right to be disrespectful. At no point do we have the right to disrespect others.
Cheryl ~ Day 286; 79 to Go
It seems so amazing that there are only 79 days left this year. When we started the process of blogging every day about gratitude I wondered if I would run out of things to blog about. The amazing thing is I didn't worry, I just wondered. As time passed I noticed that the more I blogged the easier it became to tell the story of things that inspired me. When children are small we can't force them to walk or talk, we can guide them of course. The actual process to do that comes from their own internal desire to go somewhere or to be heard. That is what gratitude and inspiration is for me. It is a mode of being heard and getting somewhere. When I seek the inspiraiton in every situation I am more easily able to communicate, to get to where I need to be to create potential and to connect with others that can help guide us. I have spent me life seeking inspiraiton, it was just January 1st of this year that we decided to share it with the world.
