☀️Authors note: Part 2 of this one shot. This one is dedicated to @mistinception who hoped that mc would get the ticket🫶🏻 It's rather short, I would have wanted it to be a bit longer but couldn't for the life of me figure out a way to make it longer that made me happy with the outcome😭
You had scoured the internet for a ticket to Sichengs performance at the local theatre, he was playing Prince Charming in Cinderella and from the pictures you had seen of him in costume he looked absolutely incredible.
You had texted him some days before that you were coming to see him on this day and he had been so happy to hear that you would come to see him. He had told you he'd make sure to find you in the crowd even tho he wouldn't be able to wave from the stage he still wanted to look at you from time to time he had written.
On the day you were walking towards a flower shop in town, you had been there before a few times when the occasion had risen to buy yourself some flowers and today was a new occasion to buy some.
But this time they were for Sicheng and not for you.
You had spent a good 45 minutes in the shop, walking back and forth between the rows of different flowers until you had finally settled on a bouquet of red roses. It felt right to give someone performing on stage. After paying for them you hurried to the local theatre, showcasing your ticket once there and went to the right place and took your rightful seat.
Eventually the play started and Sicheng just took your breath away on stage. He was captivating in everything he did, every emotion, every line was delivered with such passion and conviction that he touched you very deeply.
By the end of it you had been in tears, applauding for quite some time before you went out to wait for Sicheng to come out. Clutching the roses so you wouldn't lose them as you went out to the spot you had texted him earlier about.
Roughly 15 minutes later Sicheng had come out and once he saw you he came towards you with a smile.
"There you are!" He said, happiness evident in his voice as he looked at you.
"Here! These are for you!" You tell him handing over the roses which you had hidden behind your back once you spotted him.
"For me?!"
"Yes you! I wanted to give you something! You were amazing up there Sicheng! Truly you moved me to tears at one point."
"No way! I made you cry??"
"Yes but that's because you're so good at what you do." You told him, you could see his ears turn red from your praise as he tried to avoid your eyes and his smile turned shy.
"Come on, I got a place we can go and get some drinks and food at." He says before offering you his hand which you take allowing him to lead you to the little cozy bar he's found for the two of you.
The two of you had gotten seated and had your drinks and some small dishes to share. Sicheng had managed to get you two a quiet corner so you wouldn't be bothered by others on your date.
"So you liked the play i'm guessing?"
"Of course I did! It was amazing and you did such a good job." You tell him eating some of the chips you had ordered.
"I found you in the audience you know, I even dedicated one song and speech to you by looking mostly at you." He confessed
"So I didn't imagine when I felt you were singing and talking to me at certain points!" You say giving him a light smile.
He nods giggling a little as he takes a sip of his drink. You two end up talking about everything between the sun and the moon and eventually you two found a common hobby which was knitting and crocheting small animals.
"I'm a beginner at both knitting and crocheting so I'm not very good you know." He admitted scratching the back of his neck gently
"I'm pretty good, I've made some animals! Here let me show you!" You take up your phone and show him some pictures.
"Those are adorable!" He gasps staring at your screen with big eyes.
"You have to teach me someday how to make one!! I wanna be able to make cute little animals too!" He says looking at you with big round eyes and a little pout.
"I can teach you I promise! That can be our next date if you'd feel up for it." You say and he nods happily and it makes you warm in the chest thinking about how he wants to go on a second date with you.
Which you had secretly hoped he'd wanna do.
"Did you know that my friends really wanted to come and follow us on our date today?" He asks.
"No I did not know that. Why?" You questions curiously.
"Well Ten, Yangyang, Dejun and Henry are all really noisy and wanna know everything. Plus they stated that I never go out with others and they really wanted to know who could have captured my attention. Luckily I had Kun on my side when I told them that no, they could not follow us around in fake mustaches and poorly worn wigs just because they wanted to." He rants and you laugh at the comments about wigs and mustaches
"Were they gonna have those newspapers with holes cut out in them so they could stare at us as well?"
"Ughhhh probably. They can be idiots sometimes but you know they're my idiots so it's fine. I know they mean well when they say things like that. Sometimes I can't help but wonder if Kun actually wants to join in on the shenanigans but feels to bad that he won't do it."
"They sound like lovely people you know. You look really happy talking about them." You say with a smile.
"Yeah I think you'd get on well with them if I were to introduce you to them in the future. But for now I wanna be selfish and have you for myself a little bit longer." He said with a wink causing you to snort.
"Well then, I'll allow you to keep me for yourself for a bit longer then."
The two of you continued to chat and laugh the night away. And by the end of the date you two had already decided on which day date number two would happen and where.
What the two of you failed to see when walking home were the four people in poorly worn wigs and fake mustaches hiding, not very well might I add, in some bushes snickering to themselves as they saw their friend being cute and cuddly with the person who had clearly captured his attention a few days ago.
