The future of waxed paper

My friends, take a look in your kitchen drawer! Do you have a roll of waxed paper? Odds are very good, especially if you are above the age of 70!

Did you ever wonder exactly what that product is doing in your kitchen? Wonder no more, as I provide you a list of three important uses that waxed paper will have ... in your incredible future!

First off, I predict that science will discover that a barrier of waxed paper will reflect radioactive rays by as much as 50 percent! You may be required to keep rolls of the paper in your home, in case of nuclear fallout (a common future occurrence, as you already know)! papering the walls of your fallout shelter may very well keep you alive for a few more months following a terrorist attack!

Next, I am sure you are aware of waxed paper's awesome ability to keep food fresh, once it is wrapped in the material. I predict that food scientists will discover that the thicker the wrapper of paper, the fresher the food stays, for longer time! Theoretically, if you wrap up food in enough paper layers, it will stay fresh forever! I predict that a three foot thick layer of waxed paper will keep ANY food fresh for at least 75 years!

Finally, I predict that waxed paper will have a major part to play in the future of chemical warfare! I predict that scientists will discover that a container lined with waxed paper will hold many of the common chemical agents without leaking out! This will mean that soldiers will be able to simply walk up to the enemy with waxed paper cups full of napalm, hand it to them, and then run away! This unusual form of chemical attack will catch many of our enemies off guard, and contribute to the winning of at least three major conflicts in the next 30 years!

So there you have it, my friends! The lowly waxed paper has a big future in store for itself! This is as I predict, and it will come to pass. TAKE HEED!
