Is it possible to create a flag utilizing these Moroccan symbols in a visually appealing way? Seems like too much going on.
from /r/vexillology Top comment: Ι think that any one on its own could make for a decent or great flag. All of them in one... I'd have to see it to believe it

Hey Kat! I just wanted to say thank you for writing V without any implications of race or ethnicity (i.e. rosy cheeks, blushing, lip color, etc.) I'm a dark skin black girl with kinky hair and when reading V, I can clearly picture myself and I love that! Idk, it really means a lot to me and that's why I love your writing so much. So, thank you so much for making everyone feel included. Not everyone can do/will do that. 💕
Oh, hello!
I’m SO happy to hear that you can fully immerse yourself in the story. I always work hard to write my fics as inclusive as possible (there’s always room for more improvements ofc) but it just…it means a lot to me too. To know that so many different people can enjoy V and imagine themselves as her is the whole point of this fic.
Being vague and only saying things like “skin”, “eyes”, “hair” is, of course, limiting as a writer because you have to work around these things in order for your writing not to be too stilted and repetitive (I say “too” because I know mine can sometimes be that, and that’s just me being analytical of my own work) but I feel when you have a platform like this, it’s important to try and be as inclusive as possible. Diversity is so important but making an effort to also be consciously inclusive (especially when it comes to things like reader inserts) is important too.
