Okay the concept of Wayne being Dad To All. Except Dustin who he regards as a third cousin he’s not particularly fond of is captivating me. Dustin thinks he’s just a typical grumpy old guy but nope. It’s just him.

Sometimes I rewatch S4 to get reference for how people talk, how they pronounce things etc. but Wayne’s voice catches me off guard every time Because you look at him and you think he’s gonna have a deeper voice, like Hopper, and then he doesn’t and it trips me up each time.
this made me go back and check and you’re RIGHT holy shit. Especially for a smoker
Eddie who always previously thought “eh if I die it’ll be fine, Wayne gets his spare room back no one will really care” but then has to change that way of thinking when he meets the Party because “okay yeah the sound of Dustin screaming for me isn’t one I’m gonna forget. And Steve makes big sad eyes when I ever allude to dying—“
But Wayne’s just like. Oh so I can’t convince my kid that living’s important but some random child comes along and suddenly he doesn’t think dying’s okay anymore. WOW. Okay.
Do you ever think about “my nephew may look dangerous, but he didn’t do this, it’s just not in his nature” and then cry.

The Munson household receives a wildly unexpected guest.
Writing from TBTC Wayne’s perspective is fun because. He came home one day to a child living on his couch and his kid like “yeah I have a sister now and she needs to live with us for the foreseeable future. Don’t ask”.
And he just said. Yeah okay whatever
I’m in SUCH an Eddie and Wayne mood tonight like. I know Eddie walks around thinking Wayne only took him in because he didn’t have any other options but would prefer not to have another mouth to feed but. That’s his BABY his CHILD
Continuing with the idea that Eddie and Robin were childhood friends:
Neither of them has a fan at home (let alone a pool) so when it gets really hot, they do a rain dance to cool things down.
On his day off, Wayne takes them to the municipal pool. They are both terrible swimmers, so Wayne loads them up with floaties. Eddie jumps into the deep end and nearly drowns, while Robin tries to do a handstand underwater and gets water up her nose. Wayne ends up buying a kiddie pool and a hose so they can play next to the trailer without the risk of drowning.
He never takes them to the municipal pool again; it was just too stressful.
