NEW REVIEW: Wayne Simmons & Andre Duza - Voodoo Child (2015)
If like me you grew up on a diet of lowbrow 70s and 80s horror flicks, more-often-than-not involving a bunch of hapless teenagers being stalked by some psychotic lunatic with a grudge, then authors Wayne Simmons and Andre Duza have one hell of a treat in store for you. Unashamedly penned as a homage to all those blood-drenched slasher films you grew up with, ‘Voodoo Child’ (2015) is more-or-less an 80s slasher movie that’s in paperback format rather than on VHS. This one really is for all the 70s and 80s horror fans out there...

NEW REVIEW: Wayne Simmons - Flu (2010)
After reading (and thoroughly enjoying) Wayne Simmons’ recent novella ‘The Girl In The Basement’ (2014), I was inspired to check out some more of his work. So I duly picked up his zombie apocalypse novel ‘Flu’ (2010). After all – I’m somewhat partial to a good yarn involving our favourite undead friends. It turned out to be an absolutely cracking read. Definitely recommended – even if you’re getting a little tired of the zombie premise now. Simmons has his own take on the genre. It’s thoroughly entertaining blood, guts and undead mayhem, from start to the heart-pounding conclusion.

NEW REVIEW: Wayne Simmons - The Girl In The Basement (2014)
If you read the recent interview with British author David Moody that appeared on DLS Reviews a few days back, then you will already be aware that Moody’s publishing arm ‘Infected Books’ has recently released its first tale that’s not one of the author’s own titles. The publication is an ebook-only novella entitled ‘The Girl In The Basement’ (2014) by British author Wayne Simmons. I’m somewhat new to Simmons’ work, so I was particularly keen to give the book a go. And am I glad that I did. Think Jack Ketchum meets Buffalo Bill from ‘The Silence Of The Lambs’ (1988). Harsh, unrelenting and utterly compelling reading. On the strength of the novella I’ve now picked up Simmons’ novel ‘Flu’ (2010) which I’m now churning my way through. Expect a second Simmons review shortly…

Saturday Funny: FoxNews terrorist analyst who claims to be ex-CIA was a nightclub doorman
This would be funny if the implications about the gullible media and government weren’t so troubling. Wayne Simmons, 62, was a U.S. intelligence adviser in Afghanistan in 2010, and had appeared on Fox News as a “terrorism analyst”. To burnish his credentials, Simmons claimed to have been a CIA agent for decades. But neither the U.S. military nor Fox News ever bothered to conduct even a cursory…

Paper ignores DOJ criticism of Bob Ehrlich
Paper ignores DOJ criticism of Bob Ehrlich
A publication I generally only refer to as “a local newspaper” reported tonight on the fact that former Maryland Gov. Bob Ehrlich sent a letter in support of convicted conman Wayne Simmons ahead of the latter’s sentencing in federal court. They made no mention of the fact that federal prosecutors were critical of the former governor’s letter in their sentencing memo.
The story in the Capital-Gaze…
