I decided to let go of the hate

Bath time

I filled the bath to the top with nice warm water. I dipped my toes in to feel the temperature. I wanted it to be perfect. I wanted to be relaxed because soon I wouldn't be. I looked over to the counter and saw the hairdryer and as I began to go and grab the item that would take me to my death. I began to think of who would find me. Maybe my little brother would come in and see me dead from the electrocution of my air powered executioner. What would I do to him? Would he finish high school? Would he go to college? Would he be able to see past my selfish deed? I couldn't forgive myself for hurting him that way. So instead of grabbing the hair dryer I sunk my head down in the warm water and I screamed. I cried and I began to wash my body. I just decided to take a bath that this wasn't how I would end my life. Not in my family home; not in a bath tub used by the ones I love. I wasn't going to take my life because he changed my mind. He gave me reason to live and for that I thank my little brother. (this is just a bit from a book I am writing- I am not suicidal...I once was.... now I am fully alive and blessed to live each day.)
