Don't know why I'm in such a mood to talk about all these different Dean ships but I'mma continue

Dean and Jo wouldn't have worked out in the end, but I could see it's potential and understand a short-lived fling.

Romeo and Juliet-esque with how much Ellen hates John. Jo was a hurricane trapped in the body of a blonde woman, which was what Dean was probably told his mom was like so yes Dean would be attracted to the idea of Jo.

Jo, who wants to hunt more than anything and go against her mother's wishes, would of course like the idea of a bad boy her mother doesn't approve of. Dean was everything she wanted to be and it didn't hurt he was cute and made her mom pissy. She was attracted to the idea of him.

See what I'm getting at?

They were more attracted to the idealized versions of each other than who they actually were. So there was something possibly there, in the beginning. Sure disappeared though. For Dean, my guess would be after the hunt they took her on where she almost died. Can't guess when it changed for Jo.

But while they wouldn't work as a couple they were great friends, and Jo was the first unofficial Winchester sister and Wayward Daughter.

Like, if they did have a Wayward Daughters spin-off an episode dedicated to a hunt from Ellen and Jo's past that the girls finish would have been fantastic and the current WDs toast their progenitors at the end.

Also, if Jo was going to have a relationship with any guy of the main three, I could see her and Cas having worked. As in, he is not her type at all but working closer with him makes her see that's not the case and Cas being well aware of how capable Jo is from the start but still being protective over her and letting her drag him into things he's clueless about. Or, to sum that up, Jo and Cas would have been fem!Dean and Cas lol
