Happy Birthday, Sakura!
i... i guess,,,,,,,
im so fucking scared
"she did not like it!" "Don't talk about sakura san when you don't know him!" "I'll protect Shizuka san!" "I'll take suo san's place!" "What kinda bullshit are you saying!?" "I'll fight endo san" "I can't let you go! I'll force the reason out of you!" "You're wrong! That's just... not true!" "Help me look for suo san!" "Even so, we can't give up"
NIREI IS ONE OF THE STRONGEST GUYS EVER STANDING UP DURING ALL THOSE TIMES DESPITE BEING AT A DISADVANTAGE PHYSICALLY. KNOWING FULLY WELL HE'D GET SERIOUSLY INJURED. Yet he still jumps headfirst into fights to protect people, to protect and defend his friends, to stop injustice. he's never afraid to speak his mind, he stands his ground and doesn't cry in the face of danger. Sure he gets nervous sometimes but that is relatable. But when it's needed? He stands up, unwavering. Even after all the bullying and trauma he's faced. Even after all the injuries he receives. and I consider that true strength and true kindness. If anything, we do not give him enough credit when he deserves the world and more
(wbk does an excellent job at showcasing what true strength is and what makes you actually strong and worthy)
Poorly edited but y'all get the idea
Bruh Suo, why you lying????
Two reasons:
They're trying to pick a fight with their partner to get validation. They just want to hear: "You're wrong, you're important to me!"
They're trying to downplay the relationship so the breakup is less painful to everyone involved. Reminds me of the scene in Airbud when the kid yells "Go on, get out of here. I don't love you anymore!" while releasing his dog. LMAO
Either way, I'm into it. Salt makes sugar taste sweeter~
Sakura is actually perceptive
Wb 210 spoilers
I think Suo is intentionally pushing Nirei and his friends way, he doesn’t want them to get hurt so he’s playing the role of a villain. Also the whole “nonchalant” act feels like a way for him to mask his own feelings…Remember when he said he could never compete with Sakura? because unlike Sakura he could never face his own feelings head on. He’s probably avoiding seeing Sakura because he doesn’t have the guts to actually meet his eyes and still put up an act

“why are you so upset?”
I honestly think nirei has every right to be, to find someone he had cared deeply for along with the rest of furin, and someone who had taught him for the better — to be stronger and independent, to have more courage for himself, to suddenly decide to vanish for days unannounced, and then suddenly, show up just to say goodbye.
“i’m just a guy who happened to be in your class,”
the same definitely goes for the rest of their class too, who has been worrying on the behalf of suo and his disappearance. I can imagine just how infuriated sakura might be when he finds out, and would have definitely done just about anything to not let suo go, either.
and I think it might be more than just an argument, seeing how suo has spoken to nirei in this chapter. there is a high chance it would have become a full on brawl against each other. at the same time, this could be their way of talking, perhaps to find out more about why suo decided to be like this, to suddenly decide to wipe himself off the face of earth just like that — because if we remember, fists are also used as a way to communicate via umemiya’s words all the way back in the shishitoren arc.
even if suo was just a guy who happened to be in their class, he still became part of the found family. he contributed to it, he knows he’s important. he isn’t a guy who happened to be in their class. he was more important than to be subjected to the role he claims. he is the reason why sakura became what he is today in windbreaker, the same for nirei. he is a big part of their life amongst their other classmates.
“we aren’t anything.”
I find these words the most infuriating because how could suo say it with such an expression as if he really didn’t care — but then he was the same person who had gotten angry on his own behalf during the fight with keel when nirei got injured???
the entire fandom knows just how much nirei practically means to suo when that moment dropped. and even so, took the initiative to help teach him how to properly defend himself and how to fight. to become stronger.
of course, this doesn’t just go for nirei. it also applies to sakura because suo is someone who got him used to not being alone anymore. someone who is extremely important to sakura, one of the people he holds dear most.
but okay, suo hayato. being casual, aren’t you? slapping the “we aren’t anything” to the people (and person) who would do anything just to get him back.
